"Well, thank you guys. We couldn't have stopped them without you," said the police chief at the scene. It was a few minutes after the fight as the police and Gene Force were cleaning up the scene.
"N-Not a problem. What's going to happen to them?" Asked Ashes as he looked up at the hole that the Helix Division was dragged through.
"We're going to hold them in a maximum-security jail for now. It'll be up to the DA about what to do next," said the police chief.
"Alright... And you got a text about a detective about all of this?" Asked Ashes.
"Yeah, apparently one of the FID detectives found out about them doing this and after stopping the other ones we just went with the flow. We were lucky you guys showed up too."
"We got a tip about this too. Maybe from the same person," said Ashes.
"Right, well, we'd be happy to have you at the hearing... If you're allowed."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Well, it's Sinderlo only for the hearings and all, at least for the audience. But you are pretty big figures and all so I'm sure you can be invited and all. Plus, you are witnesses here as well so your testimony would be nice."
"Oh well, um... We'd be glad to testify there. Thank you. W-We need to get out of here and take care of some stuff."
"Very well then... You just going to teleport out right?"
"Yep," said Ashes as programmed his UND. The group teleported away, arriving back at the hotel.
"Hey," said Aerlo as he greeted them in a conference room.
"Hey," said Venic somberly. He sat down around the table with Zeillian, Theon, Char, Divine, and Schrodinger.
"Bad time?" Asked Aerlo.
"No... We stopped them," said Venic.
"Isn't that a good thing?" Asked Aerlo with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, yes and no," said Theon. "Yes, because of the obvious."
"Right, got that," said Aerlo.
"And no... Because something was just... off about it all," said Theon as he gestured with his paws. "We had it all planned out that neither side would get into a trouble with the other, we all just go our separate ways after this..."
"Except zat you were planning on going to zeir rouge country zing later," said Schrodinger.
"Erm..." said Theon looking sheepishly.
"You all wanted to get out of ze nightmare zat is living around Sinderlos. I get it," said Schrodinger.
"And frankly we like ze idea too," said Schrodinger's right head.
"Keep it down dummkopf," said Schrodinger's left head.
"Do they fight like that on missions?" Asked Aerlo.
"Net, but it's entertaining," said Zeillian with a weak smile on his face.
"Yeah, some smiles and fun," said Divine wryly.
"Right, well, at least that means at least the majority of the team is on the same page as that," said Char. "But... With those guys gone I don't know their force after that loss will be strong enough. The Empire might just walk through them and it'll all be over."
"And even if they can hold it down don't you think that the news will be all over how we beat their agents. They'll never take us," said Zeillian.
"Well... Unless..." said Aerlo as he looked around the room to see if anyone was spying on them. "We break them out."
