It was shortly after as Venic had arrived back at Aerlo's apartment complex. The building was rundown and covered with graffiti, and the faint smell of Anthros of the night was everywhere you turned. "This is it, home sweet shithole," said Aerlo as he led Venic up the staris.

"Damn... You really need to get out of this place," said Venic as he held onto the loose railing.

"No shit Sherlock... So, where'd you live before signing on with the group?" Asked Aerlo.

"In a shit hole apartment complex. Like this. Last thing I did before they whisked me away was I punched the super in the face," said Venic with a smile.

"No shit? Well damn," said Aerlo as he walked up to a metal door with it's white paint starting to fade away. "Here we are." He opened the door and inside was a room filled with machine parts, blue prints, tools, and a small cot for a bed in the corner.

"By the way, I'm a bit of a nerd," said Aerlo as he flipped a switch next to the lights. A small robot came to life in the center of the room and started to gather up the tools and parts.

"Eh, cleaning robot, helps out a lot," said Aerlo as he pulled out a suitcase from underneath the cot. He threw his bedding and toiletries into the suitcase and closed it. The robot had finished cleaning up the tools and parts as it drove into the middle of the room. It held the objects on it's body as it turned off.

"Alright, now to haul this giant hunk of metal and parts downstairs. I'll have to reduce he weight by going through the parts and..." said Aerlo as he took off the removable switch from the wall.

"Here, I got it," said Venic as he walked over to the robot. He lifted it up as if was just a basket and carried it to the door.

"Dude, that thing has to be at least close to a ton," said Aerlo with a surprised look.

"Really? You have that much shit?" Asked Venic as he examined the thing. "Eh, oh well, leave the muscle to me."

"...Damn..." said Aerlo.

"What?" Asked Venic as he opened the door, holding the robot with one paw and his hip.

"I have this rule of, don't date anyone stronger than me. It came out of necessity," said Aerlo as he followed with the suitcase.

"Necessity? Okay, who hit you and where the fuck are they?" Asked Venic.

"N-No, it's just... I dated a complete asshole once. One day we got into an argument, he overpowered me and pinned me to the bed... He... He was about to..." said Aerlo, his eyes darting to the floor.

"And I repeat. Who did it and where the fuck are they?" Asked Venic as he walked to the stairs.

"You're gonna carry that thing down the stairs?" Asked Aerlo. "If you fall or drop it you know I can't really help you."

"I'll be fine, now answer the question," said Venic as he slowly descended the stairs.

"Well, it doesn't really matter. He's dead. That day was when the shock wave came. I got transformed into this and he... he was launched against the wall and broke his neck... It's funny. If he didn't pin me down I'd be dead too," said Aerlo.

"A dark sense of humor too hun? I like it," said Venic with a smile. He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket as he went down the stairs.

"Shit," said Venic as he fiddled with the robot.

"What?" Asked Aerlo.

"My phone went off and I can't get it right now... Can you get it? It's in my back pocket," said Venic.
