It was later in the day as Ceves had packed all of his things and was eating in the parking lot of the motel. He was sitting in a large truck that he had fixed up and modified himself with a covered back. He had painted it black with streaks of fire up and down the side of it. Ceves was enjoying a favorite of his at the time, a ham and cheese sandwich on white bread with a bag of chips next to him.
"I see you're ready," said Tendro as he rolled a suitcase out to the truck with a few duffle bags around his shoulders. Ceves held up a finger before he swallowed the bite he had in his mouth at the time.
"Yeah, I'm good," said Ceves as he turned his head to face him. "Listen, Tendro, about the Gene Force."
"You're still on this?" Asked Tendro as he loaded his bag into the back of the truck.
"A little. Listen, if you do see them out there, give 'em a chance to think about their options. I know that the whole 'meeting under a white flag' thing isn't your ideal situation but we need to at least try to talk to them," said Ceves as he got a chip out of the bag.
"I know. But it's hard to talk to them when they're shooting at us," said Tendro as he finished loading his stuff.
"Yeah, I get it, but if we can just meet them peacefully then maybe they'll see how we are and try to work with us," said Ceves as he sat up from the driver's seat.
"It's hopeful thinking Ceves... But you know that sometimes you can't reason with individuals at times. You need to realize that there are evil Anthros out there. Some that are actually guilty of some really bad crimes," said Tendro as he joined Ceves in the cab.
"I know, we're not perfect, I know that. But do you think that they are? I understand that they are seen as our enemies right now, but we need to work with them. Who knows if they feel that way or not," said Ceves.
"Listen... I'll give your plan a shot... But if doesn't work then we shoot 'em. I hate to say it like that but it's how it is," said Tendro.
"Yeah, I got it," said Ceves as he spotted the others walking towards them with their stuff. The rest of the group loaded their stuff in the back and got into the truck.
"Alright, let's do this," said Ceves as he pulled out Kingslayer. "Magic bullshit ghost gun thing, do you stuff."
"He's going to put us in the middle of a fire fight," said Medin as he talked to them from the covered bed of the truck with a radio.
"He?" Asked Margha.
"I think it's a he? I mean, sounds like a he," said Medin. "I don't sex guns."
"I'm quoting you on that one," said Ceves as he gripped Kingslayer tightly. "Also, it's long, strong, and I'm holding it. So, it's a he."
"That sounds even more gay," said Ulfrin.
"N-No not... Fuck..." said Ceves as he leaned back against the back of his seat. He felt his arm shot skywards and Kingslayer pointed to the sky.
"Um Ceves," said Tendro as he looked at him.
"Kingslayer, not me," said Ceves. "You're not going to put a round in the ceiling are..." Kingslayer went off, and a bright flash appeared through the cab of the truck.
"Argh, fuck," said Ulfrin as he rubbed his eyes.
"Damn, argh," said Ceves as he rubbed his eyes, still feeling Kingslayer in his paw.
"Warning next time Cev," said Tendro.
"Blame the gun," said Ceves as his vision came back. The truck was parked at a boat dock in a city he didn't recognize. The city had large sky scrappers and a few beach side resorts around with the biggest being a Murton resort.
