*Gaia King's POV:
We approached cabin 45. It was surrounded by about fourteen girls doing all different types of work.
They looked to be between the ages of twelve and fifteen.
It wasn't that many girls, so I supposed cabin 45 wasn't a crowded cabin.
These girls were literally outside in the freezing cold, shoveling snow, wiping the cabin's windows, sweeping the steps, cutting snow-covered bushes and many other things, all in 30-degree weather.
These weren't just strangers, but people like me. People with inhuman powers and that had to suffer because of them. Some used them for good, some used them for bad, others didn't use them. All I knew was that because of the U.N. and W.E.A's plans, they had to suffer.
One of the guards placed his hand on my shoulder.
"You have a new member of cabin 45, treat her with respect for the next week or two. Teach her the rules of the cabin and make sure she follows them."
"Yes, sir" the girls all said at once.
One of the guards suddenly pushed me and I fell flat on the ground.
They laughed as they started to leave with Robin.
I angrily mumbled to myself as I got back up and dusted the snow off of my clothes and face.
I glanced at Robin as she was leaving with the guards.
She was staring back at me with sad eyes and whispered "bye".
"Bye" I said back to her, frowning.
I looked over at the girls doing work. None of them were really acknowledging my presence. It was as if I wasn't even there.
Two of the girls were cutting the branches of the big snow-covered bush, three of the girls were shoveling snow and the rest were cleaning up the outside of the cabin. Even when there wasn't anything to clean, they had to clean something.
I was even colder now because my pajama pants were wet from falling into the snow.
I was shivering, sniffling and my nose was runny. I had only been at the camp for about an hour and I already felt like I was getting a cold.
I stroked my arms, trying to make myself warm, but to no avail. Breathing on my hands warmed them up a little.
All I had on was pajama pants, short sleeved shirt and Adidas sneakers.
We didn't get to change because Mina wanted us to come up to her mansion from the hideout right away for breakfast. We did grab our coats, but we left them in her library.
I knew something wasn't right about her ever since the party, but somehow she charmed me, and unfortunately, I let my guard.
I should've listened to my gut. Had I listened to my gut, I could've prevented this from happening. Well, either way, if you think about it, if we never met Mina we would've never had a hideout to hide in. The F.E.M.A guards would've had no problem taking us from our homes and taking us to the extermination camp.
But even still, how could anyone do this to us?
How is this "saving the human race"?!
Before, I was really starting to consider Mina a friend. We got our nails done together and went went to the mall all the time. Robin didn't go because she didn't like getting her nails done, nor did she like being in malls for long periods of time.
But either way, me, Robin and Mina had done a whole lot of things together, but what I and Robin didn't know was that this whole time she was plotting this day.
