It works, his eyelids groggily open.

"Shh, I'm sleeping." He says, even though I haven't said anything yet, and he is evidently not sleeping.

"What time is it?" I ask.

"I'm not a clock, I don't know." He groans. I sit up and lean across him, to the side table where I set my phone. It's three in the fucking morning.

"Damn Niall, can't we go home? I don't want to spend the rest of the night here." The room is dark and I almost didn't recognize it at first.

"I'm so tired." He complains. "I'll drive." I offer.

"Do you drive stick?" He asks. I think back to the drive up here, his car is automatic.

"You don't have a stick." I call him out. He grunts. "Dammit. I thought you would go with it and not know how to drive stick or some shit, I don't want to get up." I push his arm down and start shaking him.

"Take me home, loser." I laugh. He opens his eyes and shake his head.

"Will you really drive? I don't even think it's safe for me to drive and I really am tired as fuck." He pleads. I nod. It's dark, he probably didn't see that. "Of course." I croak.

"Cool." He says, leaning up.

We're both on our feet and getting ready to leave within the next few minutes. I crack open the door, not sure if there is anyone else awake in the apartment or not. Niall sticks his hand in front of me and forces the door open all the way, being inconsiderate of anyone who might be here.

"Leaving so soon?" Ali hoots from the living room, where I'm positive she was when I went to sleep. Niall laughs.

"Thanks for letting us crash for a bit, Al. I promise to come back real soon." He walks over and gives her a hug. She hugs him back.

"Don't keep us waiting for so long like last time. I really hope you'll come around more often, okay?" She says lightly into his neck. He nods and releases the hug.

"And next time you come, bring Leah again. I like her." She looks at me and smiles. I smile widely back.

"Visit me anytime?" She says, and I feel its directed at me too, not only Niall.

"We will, both of us." Niall assures before walking back to me.

"I miss you already!" Ali jokingly calls and Niall grabs my wrist and pulls me out the door.

"Miss you too." He laughs and shuts the door.

"Do you not visit often?" I ask Niall as we reach the elevator. He hits the button and the doors open quickly. We step inside and he shrugs.

"Once every few months or so is enough." He replies quickly and punches the buttons on the elevator. "Okay." I say cooly. The doors open and he rushes out. I follow pursuit behind him and catch up quickly.

"Don't go so fast, jesus." I say when I am by his side once more.

"Sorry, this place brings back unwanted memories, and stuff." He stutters out. I don't know where he parked so I can only follow him like a lost puppy.

I see his car light up when he presses a button on his keychain so I don't have to follow him so lostly now.

"It's okay, sorry for asking." I console. "It's whatever. I'm glad you came though, I'm glad you got to meet everyone. Even if it was only for a little bit because you were being a priss when it comes to parties," I can't decide if he's kidding or not, whether to be offended or not.
