Dharani's ( Ravi and Arjun's mom ) POV
Sweety was shocked to see me in her room .
"Mrs.Dharani , how... when.... did you come ? Where.... is Siri ? " she stuttered
" When did I become Mrs.Dharani to you Sweety . If I say I don't have any relation with you , do you think our relation ends ? " I said
" Aunt " she started crying ,
I wiped her tears and hugged her .
" How do you know " she asked anxiously
" We will talk later " saying that I started to feed her ice cream .
After eating ice cream she laid down on bed with her head on my lap . I patted her head
" I missed you so much aunt " she said emotionally
" I know . I too missed you " I said
" How... How did you find ? " she asked stuttering
" I called Siri to find how you are doing . When she said about your details I identified you . Why didn't you tell me in the temple . I'm sorry for not talking to you all these years . You should have scolded me in the temple for that . Why did you keep quiet ? I love you Sweety and I'm sorry " I said
" Did you tell Ravi who I'm " she asked
" Yes " I said
" Did he tell you anything " she asked nervously . I know that she is scared that Ravi revealed about her pregnancy
" Can I talk to him now . you know..... I mean...I .... I missed him so much " she said
I said ok and came out .
" She wants to talk to you Ravi . I just said that I identified her from the details Siri told " he nodded and went inside
" You should have told us Arjun ? Your silence broke everyone's heart . Do you even understand the damage you have done . You played with two girls hearts . I never dreamt my son could do that " I said
" Sorry mom " he said
" Your sorry cannot mend broken hearts Arjun " I said angrily
" Explain yourself " I asked
" After coming back from USA , I wanted to speak to you all , convince and marry Sweety with your blessings . But I was shocked when you fixed my marriage with Siri . Even then I came to you to tell about my love but couldn't after overhearing your conversation with dad about Sweety. "
"What did you hear " I asked
" You said how much you hated Sweety that she lied and you have to bear the insults " Arjun said
" You heard till there and left ? " I asked and he nodded
" I clearly mentioned I used to .... like in past tense .. that means not now and you imagined everything and left without hearing full conversation . If you had heard full conversation , things would have been better . Didn't you know half knowledge destroys you ? Even if it is the case , you should have informed us about Sweety . You married her " I said
" What are you saying mom " he questioned
" That day I told I used to hate Sweety for her lie because her mom insulted me . Then I said I regret for that .She was just 16 and couldn't say truth to her mom as she is terrified of her mom . Sweety might have wanted to surprise me . That's why didn't inform me . "
" Do you know why I had that discussion with your dad ? " I asked . He nodded no
" I always wanted to get Sweety married to you . I told your dad that if I hadn't overreacted that day , somehow I would have arranged your marriage with Sweety . I missed her so much . Its all my fault " I said
" What ? you wished for both of us to get married . That's what you were talking " he asked in disbelief
" I'm relieved my wish is fulfilled but you complicated everything . You hurt both Siri and Sweety . I can't forgive you . You made Sweety pregnant and broke up with her and agreed to marry Siri " I accused
" I didn't know she is pregnant mom " he said
" Don't make excuses Arjun . You married and had physical relation with her " I shouted
" I'm sorry mom . After I misunderstood your conversation with dad , I thought to inform Ravi and take his help to convince you . But... " he paused and looked as if he couldn't frame words . Its been couple of minutes , still he said nothing
" But what Arjun . Complete whatever you wanted to say before I go crazy " I said loosing my patience.
" I overheard Ravi and Megha's conversation and couldn't talk " he said
" What did you hear ? " I asked
He looked at Megha but didn't speak and looked down .
" What did you hear Arjun " Megha asked this time
Flashback
Ravi : Its been 3 years since you stopped working . I know how hard you studied to become doctor . You are very talented and its your passion .
Megha : I tried so much but unable to work .
Ravi : I know the reason but you have to overcome your grief . I know it is hard but try again . I'm scared you will go into depression .
Megha : Don't worry I'm not depressed . I'm glad I could save Arjun . I consider him as my son .
( What ? Megha stopped practicing because of me . Arjun thought not understanding their conversation )
Ravi : You are his mother Megha . You gave him life . If not for you , he would have died .
Megha (crying ) : Never mention that Ravi . I can't even imagine something happening to Arjun
Ravi : That day you saved him and had miscarriage and got your uterus removed , loosing the chance to become mother ever in life .
Megha : How can I let anything happen to Arjun ? Don't say that I can't become mother . Arjun is my son . Soon he will get married to Siri and they will have children . We will take care of their children . I will conduct Siri's delivery . You know how happy I'm when Arjun agreed to marry Siri .Being Gynecologist I had to deal with pregnant ladies which remind me of my misfortune . That's why I couldn't practice . But Siri is different , Arjun's kids are like our kids .
Then I promise to work again in the hospital .
Arjun remembered the incident 3 years back . He was waiting outside the hospital to pick Megha while talking on phone . He didn't notice car speeding towards him in wrong direction . Suddenly he felt someone pull him out of the way . He lost the balance , fell down , hit his head and lost consciousness .
He woke up in the hospital and was informed that Megha saved him . She was hit by the car and got admitted . Everyone thought she suffered minor injuries . She was discharged after a week . The day of the accident , her pregnancy was confirmed and had miscarriage from saving Arjun . They had to remove her uterus .
After hearing their sacrifice , Arjun decided to marry Siri .
