Chapter 5: The Ice Queen-Part 2

As Frank and Marie were discussing what the learned so far from the case, Chief Marquez showed up and told them that they received a complaint from a nightclub called The Little Mermaid who told them that someone matching Becky's description ran out of it without paying their bill. Marie watched as Chief Marquez crossed her arms, smirked at Frank and she said to him, "Now Frank, before you try and go to every bar and club under the pretext of finding out where Becky went on her wild night, just let me tell Marie here that Becky was at the Little Mermaid club. They said a customer who matches Becky's profile tallied up a bill of $1,005 and ran away without paying."

Marie then said, "Well we know that Becky ended up frozen on the beach and now it's time to go and see how it all started!" And soon the two officers headed towards the nightclub.

Once they got there, Marie and Frank searched around until Marie found an ice bucket. Frank saw her pick it up and he said, "I'll take two with a drop of whiskey."

Marie rolled her eyes and reminded Frank that she wanted to search through it. Marie also found a torn flyer and Frank rolled his eyes and thought, seriously?! Doesn't this woman think about anything else other than work? Marie also found a GPS on one of the tables and remembered that the killer used a GPS to track their victim's movements. Wanting to check it out, Marie saw that it was locked and Frank thought, that girl better handle unlocking that thing cause electronic devices are not good for my anger management and I just end up breaking them out of frustration.

The first thing Marie did was put together the torn flyer and as soon as it was whole again, she and Frank looked closely at it and saw that it was for an even at the club called 'Fire and Ice' and the event's host was Derek Stone. Frank began to think that Derek is the Scarface of Ocean Shore since it's the second time he became a suspect in one of their cases. Marie looked closely at the flyer and said, "The flyer says it was an electronic night and since Derek was hosting, it's safe to say that he likes music."

Frank nodded and said, "I'm right behind you darlin'. Since our victim went to Derek's club event, we've gotta go and question that little creep!"

Once they found Derek surrounded by a few girls and laughing up a storm. As soon as he saw Frank and Marie, he told the girls to part, which they did, and he said to the officers, "Yo, you want a hit of my bong my homies?! This weed is so good, it should be illegal!"

Frank rolled his eyes and thought, weed is illegal, you swine! He then said, "Very funny Derek! We're investigating the murder of a girl who went to your club event at the Little Mermaid."

Derek smiled with a nod and told him, "Yeah, didn't you know? My parties are killer! I'll give you VIP tickets to my next one; it's a GPS party, where you can track all the girls you like!" And Derek looked at Marie and gave her a flirty wink, but Marie rolled her eyes and thought, dream on creep!

Angered by Derek's words and the action he gave to Marie, Frank exclaimed in fury, "We don't want anything to do with your sleaze nights! Now a girl got killed tonight and you better give us some answers before I give you a black eye!"

Derek rolled his eyes with a scoff and said, "Get real man! This is Ocean Shore, don't you know? And here, we live fast and party hard. It's an art and I guess some people just can't handle it, but it ain't no fault of mine."

Furious by Derek's words, Frank was about to lunge at the man, but Marie stopped him and started to push him away while Frank was yelling out, "You're dead Derek! You hear me! DEAD!!!"

Derek smirked and said, "You're lucky you have that honey by your side to stop you Frank or else I will be!"

After their run in with Derek and Frank calmed down a little bit, Marie got to work unlocking the GPS' password and after a while she found the right password and it unlocked. After she unlocked it, Frank began to think that's also the reason why he doesn't trust electronics cause they can get hacked into easily. But then he looked at Marie and thought, or maybe it's just her? Not wanting to ponder anymore, Marie sent the GPS to Hannah to be analyzed.
