A few days later after the David Breitman case, Marie decided to take Julian Ramis with her to the station so he could shadow her and find out what it takes to be a homicide detective. The two of them were at Marie's desk and Marie was showing him how to do comparisons in the police database. Marie proceeded to explain to Julian, "See Jules, this program helps us compare features to people's faces so we can locate a suspect. It also compares DNA strands, symbols that the killer left behind, animal faces, fingerprints and even footprints."

Julian nodded in understanding and asked, "But what happens if you can't compare something? What if you come across a clue that even you can't solve?"

Marie smiled and said, "That's what our forensics and tech experts are for. There are some cases where I can't solve everything so I rely on my friends to help me. That's what it means to be a part of a team."

Julian nodded and thought with a smile, I hope I can learn as much as I can so I can be as smart as Sissy someday. Just then, Frank came by and peeked over Marie's shoulder and he smirked and said, "Hey there darlin'! I didn't know it was bring your kid brother to work day!"

Julian furrowed his eyes at Frank and said, "I'm not Sissy's brother Detective Knight! I'm her apprentice!"

"I thought Amy was Marie's apprentice?" Frank asked jokingly.

Marie rolled her eyes and said, "I can have more than one apprentice boys. There's no rule that says you can't."

Just then, Marie and Frank heard their names being called on the intercom which was the signal that the chief wanted them in her office. Marie looked at Julian and said to him, "We're gonna have to cut this short Jules. I'll leave you with another officer so you can shadow them for the rest of the day." And Julian nodded to her plan and soon she and Frank headed to the chief's office.

In Chief Marquez's office, Marie and Frank were standing before her and she smiled at Marie and said, "Marie, I've got a special assignment for you today. The Pacific Bay police received an invitation to a wedding in Inner City and I want you to represent us! The father of the bride owns a shisha shop in the bazaar and he's well known in the district and he has invited many influential members of the community. It's quite an honor to be among them."

Marie smiled and said, "I guess my reputation is spreading around Pacific Bay too."

Chief Marquez nodded and continued to explain to her, "What's more, the bride and groom are both Serbians, which means they are affiliated with the Russian community. Considering the recent tensions we've witnessed, I'll be glad to have my best officer there to keep an eye open for trouble."

Frank let out a hearty laugh after he heard all that and he clapped a hand on Marie's shoulder and said to her, "Good luck with that darlin'! Half of all marriages mostly end in divorce! But if they can't even get through a wedding day without a police presence, then it must be a match made in hell!"

Chief Marquez then smirked at Frank and said to him slyly, "I take it you're volunteering to go with Marie to this thing Frank? Cause I hope you have something nice other than that shirt to wear!"

Frank sweat dropped when heard that and Marie giggled thinking that this wedding will be quite the experience. At the wedding ceremony, Marie and Frank were sitting among the witnesses watching the bride and groom accept their vows and their rings and the priest looked at the bride and asked, "Do you Manka Radich take Steve Srebnik to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

Manka, the bride, nodded and told the priest, "I do!"

The priest then looked at Steve, the groom, and asked him, "Do you Steve Srebnik take Manka Radich to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
