A few days after the plane crash and the arrest of Bobby Prince, Marie was sitting at her desk browsing through information sites on the Civil War and the soldiers that fought in it. She also had a few books open on her desk about the Civil War and various events that happened in it. Frank saw her working and looked at all the books and notes she had strewn about her desk. He then approached her and said, "Hey there, darlin'. Got the war on you mind this time, huh."

Marie let out a sigh, leaned back in her chair and said, "I'm trying to find information on the soldier that supposedly "survived" and see if he or the Night Walker have a link."

Curious, Frank asked, "Why?"

Marie looked over at Amy's empty desk and she said, "I'm worried about Amy. She hasn't been to work in a few days after Bobby's arrest. I was thinking, if I find a clue of some sorts about the Night Walker, I might help her a bit."

Frank placed a hand on her shoulder, smiled and said, "You're a good friend, Marie. I'm sure Amy would appreciate what you're doing for her. And you're not the only one worried about her either. I too am worried along with the rest of us."

Frank then stepped back and said, "But anyway, that last case must have been a real treat for you with a cannibal maniac as your killer."

Marie gathered up her notes and organized her clutter and said, "Yeah, a real treat. From all I known so far, Amy's absence still has her a bit shaken up from the fact that her crush and ex-boyfriend snacks on people."

Frank then said while thinking, "I hope being with her family will help recover a little. Which means it's just you and me today, Marie."

Suddenly, Amy ran into the office all panicked and she ran straight to Marie and she said with a panicked tone, "Marie! You have to help me! Something must have happened to her!"

Surprised to see she was at work, Frank looked at her with worry and asked, "What are you doing here, Amy? And who are you talking about?"

Amy looked down with tears welling up in her eyes and she explained, "My friend Virginia Watchbird. She was supposed to meet me this morning, but I haven't heard a word from her all day! I'm so scared for her!"

Marie placed a hand on Amy's shoulder and said to her, "Don't worry Amy, we'll find her for you. Where do you think Virginia could be?"

Amy looked at her and said, "She was filming a documentary about the origins of the Night Walker legend up in the woods. Please let me come with you, Marie! I can help with the search!"

Marie shook her head and said, "I'm afraid that's out of the question, Amy. After what happened with Bobby, it's best you stay here."

Frank then added in, "She's right. The only thing you can do right now is put on your sweats and eat ice cream while watching bad reality television shows. Understood?"

Amy let out a sigh and said, "Ok, you're right. I'll go home then, but call me if you find anything."

Marie nodded and told her she would. Once Amy was gone, Frank and Marie looked at each other and Frank said, "You thinking what I'm thinking, Marie?"

Marie nodded and said, "Yeah. If something bad happened to Virginia, Amy might not be able to stand again after the shock she received from the whole Bobby fiasco. Amy did mention her friend was in the woods, so maybe she got lost in there!" And soon, the two officers set off to find Amy's friend.

In the woods, Frank and Marie searched deeply in it until they came across a clearing. As soon as they got there, they stopped and looked at the blood dripping on the ground. They then looked up and saw Virginia impaled by many tree branches. Shocked by the sight, Frank exclaimed, "I can't believe it! There's no way this girl impaled herself on those branches by accident!"
