Chapter 7: East Prey-Part 2

At the old ferry deep in the swamp, Amy and Marie were discussing the case when a bunch of fish bones and fish guts fell out of the sky and landed on Amy. Amy looked over herself in disgust and said, "I don't get it Marie?! What happened?! We were just going through what we know about Coleen's murder and the next thing we know, someone tossed their trash at me! But why?!"

Amy picked a fish bone off of her in disgust and Marie began to think from the angle and trajectory, she knew where on came from. She then looked at the old boat they were standing in front of and said, "I hypothesize that it came from that old boat Amy. Let's look around and search it."

Amy nodded in agreement while trying to get the filth off of her and she thought, I really need a shower when we get back! Plus, if it was someone's intention to throw rotten fish at me, I'm gonna give them a big fat old fine! Before they could look around, Marie handed Amy a towel so she could wipe herself and she thanked her and said while wiping her face, "Sorry if I'm little angry and annoyed Marie. I just can't believe someone would have the nerve to throw rotten fish at a police officer."

Soon, they started to look around and on the boat, but Amy couldn't find anyone on it and she told Marie. However, Marie got her own piece of luck while and Amy thought in amazement, even when I make her lose her time on personal vendettas, she managed to find some stuff to further the investigation! What Marie found was a torn package that looked like it was deliberately shredded. She also found a toolbox that looked like someone left on purpose. Marie also found a gator hunting trophy but the plaque was completely faded, but some powder would help them read what was on it.

The first thing Marie did was put together the torn package she found and once it was whole again, Amy and Marie saw that it was a box for diet soup and their victim wrote something on it and it said, 'You should try it fatso!' Knowing that it didn't sound very nice, the two female officers wondered who Colleen gave it to. Just then, a gruff female voice said, "Still around my boat you dumb skinny cops? Bad fish doesn't seem to be enough to drive you away, huh?"

Marie and Amy looked behind them and saw a fat woman looking at them with a smirk. She then looked down and saw the diet soup package in Marie's hand and her expression changed and she said while red with anger, "Hey, why did you fix that stupid "Fat Crusher" weight loss soup package?! Are you here to make fun of me?!"

When she heard that the woman was the one who threw fist at her, Amy retorted back in anger, "So you're the one who threw fish bones and guts at me?! Don't move a muscle cause we would like to have a word with you!"

The fat woman rolled her eyes with a scoff, but agreed to talk. When Marie asked for her name, she said it was Shelly Dulard. Shelly then looked over at Amy and said to her while waving her hand in front of her nose, "Before we talk, I don't think you should get any closer Officer. Cause it smells like bad fish. I'm just sayin' you could benefit from a quick shower."

Amy finished writing a up a fine ticket, shoved it at Shelly and said an annoyed tone, "Whatever! Laugh all you want Ms. Dulard! This is a fine for assaulting a police officer!"

Shelly just boasted out laughing and said while looking into Amy's eyes, "See if I care! At least maybe this will have taught you stop showing off your little ass, you skinny superficial brat! You and your other skinny partner here are just like that Coleen Truman! I welcomed her aboard my ship and she thanked me with this Fat Crusher weight loss soup and making fun of my fat; that filthy vegan! Who does she think she was and who the hell eats diet soup anyway?! It's not even food like diet soda is not really soda at all! That neat freak also didn't do alcohol either! So I guess I'll pop open a bottle of gator rum in her honor and to celebrate!"

After Shelly turned around and left, Amy had her hand clenched into a fist after she heard Shelly's insults. Marie asked, "You okay Amy?"

"I'm fine! And I'm glad that I fined her! Thanks to you Marie, you gave me strength to stand up to myself," Amy said after taking a few calming breaths.
