I woke up the next day exhausted, in pain, and completely bare skinned.

I started to sit up and felt Remus stirring next to me.

"Is it mornin'?" He mumbled

"Almost sunrise I think." I sighed squinting at the dirty curtains.

"Grand." He groaned and sat up.

I pulled a blanket over myself and laid still for a few minutes

"Feeling and horrible as me?" Remus asked

"Yes. What the hell did we even do last night?" I sighed

"All I remember is falling asleep and flashes of moonlight." He shook his head

"Can't I for once leave my clothes not torn to hell?" I sighed seeing my shirt in shreds on the floor.

"I don't know if there's a way around that other than to strip before you fall asleep." Remus chuckled

"I've thought about that. I just haven't been able to do it. I always fall out before I think I will." I shook my head

"At least tonight won't be as bad as last night." Remus said

"Right. The first night and the last always hurt the worst." I sighed

"Always have." He nodded

"Any new scars?" I asked

"I don't see any on me." He said inspecting his arms and chest. "Oh yeah okay my back." He whimpered

"Turn let me see how bad." I sighed and sat up holding the blanket to me

Remus turned slowly. Three red slash marks lined his back. From shoulder across his back to his hip.

"I don't think those were self inflicted." I sighed

"So what a minute we fought last night?" Remus asked looking at me over his shoulder.

"I don't think it was fighting." I sighed "if it was we'd be covered in scratches and scraps."

"And furniture would be broken." Remus nodded.

I ran one hand down my back and winced when I came to my hip.

"What is it?" Remus asked turning back to face me.

I yanked my hand away from my back.

"You're bleeding." Remus' eyes got wide

"That would explain the pain." I sighed

"How bad is it?" He asked moving closer to me

"Not bad. I've felt worse." I said

"I'm sorry." He mumbled

"It's not your fault." I sighed "it's gonna happen."
