Once McGongall left Remus and I moved the basket to the bedroom and sat it on  the nightstand.
"I can't believe Harry did this." I smiled "I mean I can I just didn't think he'd do it. It's not his style."

"He's reaching out to someone who knew his parents. It's going to Be uncharacteristic." Remus sighed plucked a chocolate frog from the basket. "Chocolate?"

"You know I never turn down chocolate." I laughed

"That's what I thought." Remus smiled and  plucked a mini chocolate bar out of the basket.

I smiled and took the chocolate from him and unwrapped it.
"We should really get some sleep." Remus sighed and laid down
"You're right." I sighed and bit the mini chocolate bar in half

Remus put one arm under his head and laid there looking up at me. "Something wrong?"

"Hm? No. Just thinking. You know Harry May have lost his parents but at least he didn't have to live with them not recognizing him. I know it sounds mean and petty. I mean yeah it's bad that he lost them that way but at least James and lily get to rest." I sighed

"I get what you're saying. It wouldn't have been easy for him to grow up the way you did. From what I understand neither of you had a fair childhood. You lost your parents an had to live with your grandmother whom loves you endlessly. He lost his and went to live with his aunt whom hates his very existence." Remus said

"I- I don't know much about how Harry was brought up. I just know that his aunt and uncle never treated him fairly." I stammered

"That's putting it lightly if I'm honest. He doesn't talk about it because it's horrible. Love Harry never felt a hug until Hagrid showed him people cared for him. He didn't know affection until Molly Weasley showed him what a mother is supposed to be like last year." Remus sighed getting angry

"I never knew." I whispered

"Not many people do. Ron and Hermione and the rest of Ron's family do because they've seen it." Remus said

"I knew that his first year he didn't expect Christmas presents. I never knew why. If Gran had known she would've been sending him anything that would help him." I sighed

"I know she would. I know she told you and Neville to send him birthday presents every year. She just doesn't know how much he appreciates them. From my understanding you give wonderful gifts." Remus smiled and let his hand rest on my back

"I try to know the person I'm gifting to. With Fred and George all I really ever get them is extra potion ingredients and new books on charms. Ron I usually give him Cudley Cannons merchandise. Ginny I give sweets and clothes. Hermione I usually go to muggle bookstores and find something for her. Neville I usually get him a new book on magic plants. Percy is normally a few books on political issue since he wants to work at the ministry. Gran usually get a new cookbook." I shrugged

"Insightful." Remus nodded

"Harry is always tricky though. Because you never know what Hermione gets him." I smiled and ate the last of my chocolate.
