Choir wasn't as horrible as Jungkook thought of it to be considering Taehyung made the class less boring with his constant random conversation starters and questions.
He thought it would be his least favorite class, not because he hated singing— not at all— but because he hated singing in school groups. He preferred solos or duets.
But it was either choir or home economics and, of course, the boy chose the one that requires less work.
"So did you have any close friends back at your old school?" The blonde asked, peering from Jungkook's side, taking a better look at his sketchbook. "Woah! You're a really good artist!" Taehyung complimented in astonishment, a new piece of grape flavored lollipop hanging from the corner of his mouth.
In front of the black hooded boy was a beautifully sketched rose. It wasn't fully blossomed as if the petals have yet to receive enough sunlight to bloom. The shading was placed in the right places, slowly fading to the lighter parts. All alone, only surrounded by the blankness of the bright white paper, it stood up near the corner of the page.
Jungkook blushed as Taehyung stared in awe at the sketch. He couldn't help but think that there was more to the drawing than just lead on paper. It seemed to have a deeper meaning behind it.
"I-I'm not that good." The dark haired boy denied Tae's statement but the blonde shook his head, pointing at the rose with his lollipop. "That rose is beautiful." He insisted with a boxy grin.
"You can have it if you really love it that much." The bunny boy offered and the older bounced in his seat, his dirty blonde hair falling in front of his eyes as his pupils lit up. "Really?" He asked, hoping the younger wouldn't change his mind. Jungkook nodded, indicating that he didn't.
The boy raised his arm up, letting his cotton black sleeve pull back from its sweater paw, ready to tear the page off. until Taehyung stopped him. The male blocked his hand from the paper. "Wait, you should sign it! What if you become famous one day! I'll have something to show off to people. Kim Taehyung has the Jeon Jungkook's drawing." The older raised his hands up, spreading his hands and imprinting the words in the air. Jungkook giggled at his new friend's odd thinking.
He still signed the sketch whether it was a weird suggestion but he was more than glad to do it for the boy. Proceeding to rip the page off from the sketchbook, he handed it to Taehyung who accepted it with a smile, quickly sliding it in the cover of his binder for safekeeping.
It wasn't long before the second bell rang which meant it was time for lunch.
Their school had a schedule where students had four class one day and their other four the next which meant you stay longer in a class than other schools do for the day.
Jungkook shut his sketchbook and dropped it in his bag before zipping up the pocket. Taehyung led the way out of the class, the other taking off his hood and throwing the lollipop wrapper from earlier when he passes by the trash bin.
"So Jungkook, how old are you?" Tae asked, pushing his hair away from his face only for it to fall back, slightly clouding his vision.
"16, I'm turning 17 next September." He smiled after his explanation, causing Taehyung's heart to flutter. "I-I'm 17, 18 this December." He stuttered out which Jungkook raised an eyebrow to but the flustered older quickly cleared his throat. "Anyways, we should go meet my friends."
He opened the cafeteria door for the younger who thanked him, proceeding to enter the filled room.
=====
So I just found a random rose that I thought best suited my imaginations and photoshopped Jungkook's signature on it cuz I have no life like that. :)
