2 Months Later
Taehyung's POV (3rd person)
It's been a while since Hoseok left and it was not easy for any of them. But they managed to continue on with their life because that's what the sunshine wanted them to do.
He would be disappointed if he found out that they continued sulking when he told them not to.
Despite trying their best to keep away from unhappy thoughts, things have been fairly dull. No redhead had been teasing him every chance he got and Jungkook seemed quieter ever since he read Hoseok's letter to him.
Yoongi and Jimin? Well, they started dating not even a month ago thanks to Hoseok's support. The boy really was selfless.
But that got Taehyung thinking...
What will happen with him and Jungkook?
Honestly, he felt like something bad was going to happen very soon. It was like he never got a break anymore.
A knock on his door echoed through his room, disrupting his thoughts. He turned down the soft music that played through the wall speakers before calling out for the person to come in.
One of the maids peaked her head through the door before entering and giving a small bow. "Mr.Kim, your friend is here to see you." She wasn't the main maid of the house who knew the boy's friends so he didn't bother to ask of his name.
Yoongi's the only one that goes to his house now anyways.
Taehyung nodded. "Let him in." He slowly sat up from his bed, rubbing his face to get rid of sleep. The maid bowed again and gestured for someone to enter the room before excusing herself and shutting the door behind her.
The boy rubbed his eyes as he spoke. "Aren't you suppose to be on a date with Jimin?"
"Well that would be weird since he's dating Yoongi-hyung, don't you think?" A voice, not belonging to the mint head, retorted. Taehyung's head snapped up to his visitor and was greeted by no other than the bunny boy.
Jungkook.
He shot up from his bed, covers thrown to the other side of the mattress, as his eyes filled with horror.
"J-Jungkook?"
"I thought we were best friends, hyung."
"We are, but what are you-"
"Why didn't you tell me you were the son of BigHit Entertainment's CEO?" The younger asked with bitterness and Taehyung visibly tensed.
Those words.
God he hated that question with a passion.
"Why didn't you tell me you were the son of BigHit Entertainment's CEO?!" Seungbo exclaimed with sudden enthusiasm, shaking the brunette by the shoulders.
"I didn't think it was a big deal?" Taehyung said unsurely, a blush painting his tan skin.
"Didn't think it was a big deal? Of course it is!" The taller said with a bright smile, causing a pang of butterflies to swarm in the other's tummy.
Lee Seungbo. The sophomore that had the freshman head over heels for his dashing looks and likable personality.
He never really payed attention to the younger, besides the occasional friendly greetings, until now. Maybe his silver spoon can finally be in good use now that it caught the attention of his crush."I-it is?"
"Yes! You should bring us to your house some day." He gestured to his friends that stood behind him, a wide grin on all of their faces. "I bet your house is like a mansion." The younger shrugged at the comment but nodded at the thought of having friends over.
"D-do you guys wanna come over after school?" Taehyung asked shyly.
"Is that even a question?" Seungbo retorted with a laugh, clearly accepting the invitation without a sign of hesitation.
2 Weeks Later
Taehyung was excited to hang out with his newly obtained friends. He was glad that Seungbo had been talking to him every chance he got.
They planned to have lunch, along with the older's friends, at the restaurant that recently opened up not even a month ago. The brunette had to come a little late because he had to take care of his newborn brother, Jaegeun, until Jin came back.
When he arrived outside of the building, he could see through the windows that the place was almost packed. Customer filled every booth as expected to come from a new restaurant. He spotted Seungbo and his friends sitting at the farthest booth in the room, Seungbo's back facing Taehyung's direction as the younger made his way towards them.
Although something stopped him from his tracks. His feet froze at the mention of his name in their conversation. It was a good thing that none of them saw him because he then hid in the booth right next to the others'. He continued to eavesdrop.
"He's too gullible for his own good." Taehyung heard one of the other guys chuckle.
"It's a good thing though, isn't it? We can basically get anything we want from him. Especially Seungbo~" Another guy chimed in, saying the last part in a singsong manner.
"I think he actually believes that I like him." Seungbo scoffed and Tae frowned at his statement.
"How much you guys wanna bet that if Seungbo asked him to pay for our food today, he'll bring his card out without hesitation." One of the guys said, causing the group to laugh along with him.
"Ay that's not fair!" Seungbo complained. "You know he'll do exactly that!" He paused to think for a bit before grinning. "It's fine, I'll use his card to pay for the bet as well."
They all started howling with laughter, completely oblivious of the brunette's near presence.
Taehyung arrived home with tears staining his caramelized, chubby cheeks. It hurt to know that he so easily let Seungbo play with his feelings.
He ran out of the restaurant after hearing the guys' conversation and blocked them from all of his social medias, deleted and blocked their numbers, and swore to never trust anyone other than Yoongi-hyung and Hoseok-hyung.
Everyone else would just try to abuse his silver spoon. Other's might see it as a privilege and that he should be grateful but to him, the way he was thrown into that life without a second choice, seemed like a curse.
He'll never find true friends with it.
