Hoseok's POV (3rd person)

As soon as the sun rose, Hoseok quietly packed his belongings and headed out, seeing as everyone was thankfully still asleep.

Not wanting to worry Taehyung, he left a short message about having to take care of his little sister. It was just an excuse to avoid any questions.
Truth is, the boy didn't get any sleep last night. He refused to, even when he had already heard Jimin and Yoongi sneak back to their own sleeping bags and drifted off.

It was too hard to be in the same room as them as of right now.

A Week Later

The redhead finished the last move of his new choreograph that he composed himself, beads of sweat dripping onto the wooden floors of the dance studio. He tiredly walked to his towel that laid on his duffle bag before wiping his face and slinging both his backpack and duffle bag on his shoulders. He took out his water bottle and gulped down half of the drink.

Hoseok had spent after school in the dance studio on the first day back, completely engulfed in his practicing until exhaustion finally caught up to him along with fogged wall mirrors. It was the only way his thoughts would be at ease.

Everything in his life was bringing him down.

The guy that he still loved is with the other guy that he started catching feelings for. It wouldn't be a surprise if they started dating that week. Taehyung and Jungkook were too focused on their own problems that they didn't even notice the sudden change in their red headed friend. His parents' fights started getting worst and worst to the point that he really didn't care if he had to move to Seoul or not anymore because he just wanted them to stop arguing in front of his little sister.

He didn't hang out with anyone throughout the last week of break to give himself some space and time to think about everything. During lunch, he barely spoke while Yoongi and Jimin flirted on one side of the table and Jungkook and Taehyung being all cutesy on the other side. He really was the outsider now.

The redhead walked through the seemingly empty hallways of the school, ready to just get home and cuddle his little sister, knowing that she's probably scared to come out of her room from their parents' yelling.

But then he heard familiar voices from the other side of the hall. He would've just ignored them if he didn't hear his name being mentioned in the conversation. Hiding behind the lockers, Hoseok tuned in to the two guys talking.

"So how are you and Hoseok, man?" The first guy, Mark, asked.

"What about me and Hoseok?" The other guy, who the redhead could recognize anywhere just from the voice, scoffed. He could practically see the scowl on Yoongi's face even from behind the lockers.

"Aren't you two like... a thing?"

"Dating Hoseok?" Yoongi laughed, a little harder than expected, causing a slight ache in the redhead's chest. "Why the fuck would I date him?"

"Well, I don't know, he's like one of the sweetest guys out there. He even helped Jackson and I's relationship at the start. He puts everyone first. I'm surprised you haven't tried with him yet." Mark reasoned which Hoseok gave a sad smile to but that was quickly wiped away by the mint head.

"The redhead's annoying, Mark. He talks too much and frankly, I don't listen to most of what he says."

"Hey, watch it. That redhead, is still my friend."

"I know he likes me. I've known for a while now. Even when I date other people, he still clings to me. It's pretty irritating to be honest. Always trying to get my attention."

"It's cuz he likes you, dumbass. Wouldn't you be clingy with the guy you like?"

Yoongi sighed. "The only reason why I still deal with him is cuz we share the same group of friends."

Hoseok couldn't take it anymore. He was done. So done.

All this time, he never had a chance but he was too blind to see it.

He's giving up on everything.

He's given up on Yoongi.

He's given up on himself.

"Well I'm sorry for being an annoying redhead, Yoongi." Hoseok suddenly spoke up, startling the two. Walking out from behind the lockers, he faced Yoongi, hand gripping the water bottle to contain some of his anger.

"H-Hoseok I-"

"No. Let me speak. And you need to listen this time." The redhead said with venom striking each word. Yoongi didn't dare to make a sound. He'd never seen Hoseok this mad. No one had ever seen Hoseok this mad.

Mark stood awkwardly to the side and if it were any other situation, the redhead would've apologized for excluding him. But he didn't care anymore.

"I loved you, Min Yoongi. I still do and I hate it.
I was always there for you even when deep down I knew our feelings weren't mutual. When you would start dating someone, I'd support you because that's what a fucking friend does. Despite the fact that it hurt, I was happy for you. Never once did I try to avert your attention to me."

"Mhm, but what about Jimin? I saw the way you look at him, Hoseok. You were trying to take him for yourself, weren't you?" The older accused with a glare.

"That's because I fucking like him! And I won't deny it. The only time I put myself first than others and I still got hurt at the end. I was going to confess to him the night of Taehyung's birthday but I saw you two. A-and I let you be." His pained voice echoed through the room, voice cracking at the end from the verge of breaking down.

Yoongi finally looked guilty for once which only made the redhead feel worst.

Then he saw the older look behind him, a surprised look on his face.

So he turned around. God he shouldn't have turned around.

"J-Jimin."

The pink haired male stood in front of him, fingers fiddling with the sleeves of his sweater and cheeks rosy from listening to Hoseok's confession.

"Y-you like me, hyung? I'm sor-"

"Don't." The redhead stopped him, tears brimming his eyes. "No need to reject me. I'll save you the hassle."

And with that, he ran out of the building, leaving the three males that kept calling out for him even when he had already exited through the doors.
