Taehyung's POV (3rd person)
"This isn't a goodbye, it's a 'see you later' my fucking ass!" Yoongi mocked in anger.
"Watch your mouth, Yoongi!" Jungkook's mom yelled from the kitchen but the boy just ruffled his own hair in frustration.
The four boys decided to gather at Jungkook's house to discuss about Hoseok and the letters. There were some parts of each one's letter that they couldn't tell the others but it was understandable.
They tried contacting the boy but it seemed that he turned off his phone, probably knowing that they would still try to reach him.
"Hyung, calm down." Jimin lightly grabbed his arm to calm him down but instead gave off the opposite effect. The older shrugged him off and stood up, kicking his own bag.
Taehyung stood up, wrapping his arms around the male and resting his head on his shoulder to prevent the mint head from doing anything violent.
"I can't just calm down! I-I can't." The eldest yelled but soon slumped. "I-I'm so sorry. This is all m-my fault."
It didn't take long until the male lowered his head, quiet sobs racking his whole body while the blonde kept back hugging him. Tae couldn't help but also let a few tears slip, hiding his face on the older's neck so it wasn't so evident.
Hoseok left.
He really left.
Without knowing when they'll ever see each other again.
Or if they ever see each other again.
Jungkook and Jimin sat together by the foot of the couch, suffocating in the dejected atmosphere. They weren't as miserable as the two seniors considering they've only known the redhead for a short period of time unlike them but they were sad enough to have ran out of tears from crying all afternoon.
It was a heavy-hearted scene to watch.
Taehyung wanted to be strong for everyone but seeing Yoongi— the cold, most of the time expressionless, hyung that everyone knew could handle melancholic situations well— crying in his arms...
There was no point in acting.
"Yoongi-hyung, although it was partly your fault-" Jungkook said in all honesty which the older didn't mind because he didn't want to be lied to at a time like this. "It's also ours. All of us. We were too blinded by our own problems that we kept asking for Hoseok-hyung to give us his attention but never returned our own."
"We're selfish, I admit." Taehyung joined in. "But there's no point in blaming ourselves. He left and now we just have to hope that he'll be better off at his new home and finally be happy."
Yoongi suddenly turned around, looking as if he was ready to hit the blonde. But all three of them didn't expect him to pull him closer and start crying on his shoulder. This was affecting the mint head the most.
"I-I never meant what I said the last day I saw him." The eldest told them, voice still muffled from trying to hide the shamed look on his face. "It was just a moment of anger cuz I was mad at him for trying to steal... to steal Jimin from me. B-but he wasn't. I was an asshole to him for no reason."
Everyone turned to Jimin who had a faint blush tinting his cheeks. He coward behind the raven haired boy and Taehyung and Jungkook just sighed.

"The last day before break-" Jungkook spoke up. "We were sitting in class and he was just there for me when I talked to him about my problems. He listened and gave me advice. But I didn't let him tell me about his because I ran out of the classroom when the bell rang. It was really selfish."
Silence followed. No one looked at each other but instead waited patiently for the next person to say something.
"T-that same day, I saw him at the park." Jimin said but everyone kept their gaze on the floor, listening. "He cried and told me about his problems when I asked him what was wrong. And that's when we started getting closer. But I guess I was too naive to see that he started liking me. Maybe if I knew then he wouldn't be this hurt."
"He liked you because you were the only one from us that actually willingly gave your time to sit down and console him." Yoongi was now sitting next to the junior, head buried in his own arms. "I'm his best friend and I couldn't even do that for him. I wasn't there when he needed me the most." Jimin wrapped his arms around the older, resting the male's head on his chest, to comfort him.
Everyone now looked at Taehyung, expecting him to say something, but the boy was too lost in thought to even move from where he was standing.
"Taehyungie?" Jungkook called out, waving his hand in front of the blonde. "You okay?"
Of course he wasn't okay.
"I didn't have much friends back before I met Hoseok." The male started. "I still don't but now it's just cuz I'm content with the ones I have. I always felt that I was the outcast, although my status says otherwise, but that's why I'm always quiet and cold to people because I never felt like I belonged here."
He paused to let out a deep sigh. "I was too busy wallowing in self-pity that I didn't know I wasn't the only one feeling out of place."
Realization surfaced when he closed his eyes.
He wasn't the only one that needed to be loved.
He wasn't the only one that felt different.
He wasn't the only one that no one payed attention to.
He wasn't the only disliked flavor of lollipop.
Grape was not the only detested flavor.
There was another flavor.
That flavor was licorice.
He wasn't the only odd lollipop out.
