Jungkook took out his laptop and Taehyung signed into his Netflix account since the younger didn't have one.
Jaegeun comfily plopped himself between the two males, snuggling into the grey accented comforters of the bed. They set the laptop by the little boy's feet, watching The Lego Movie while the two youngest munched on whatever snacks the raven haired boy could scavenge from around his house.
After about three movies and two bags of chips, Jaegeun was sound asleep, cuddling the yellow stuffed bunny to his matching yellow bunny onesie. He shifted over to Jungkook and clung onto his white shirt.
"I think it's time for us to go." Taehyung whispered, seeing his little brother snore softly against the bigger bunny boy's chest. He quietly shut the laptop and set it on Jungkook's nightstand before getting up.
"No, Hyung." The raven head protested with a sleepy pout on his face. "Just sleep over for the night."
"I don't know, Kook-"
"Come on, Jaeguen's already asleep anyways and my mom wouldn't mind." Jungkook yawned in the middle of his reasoning and decided to pull the small boy closer to his chest like his personal teddybear.
"Alright, fine." The blonde gave in, slipping back under the comforters and taking off his eyeglasses to place them on top of the laptop. He laid facing the younger who's eyes were drooping from tiredness.
They stayed like that for a couple minutes, just looking into each other's eyes. The moonlight seeped through the open blinds, causing a beautiful scene to display itself in front of Taehyung.
The light emphasizing on the sharp features of the raven head's slightly chubby face, eyes sparkling like dancing stars that slowly got blinked away by exhaustion. Jungkook truly was a precious sight to see. The blonde almost felt blessed to be able to look at him this closely yet cursed because he was so close yet so far from him.At times like these, Taehyung questioned why he's born in a rich family in the first place. If he couldn't buy the things that he wanted then what's the point of having money. To be completely honest, he'd rather be poor and working three jobs if it means having real friends, having parents that care, and getting the guy he wants.
If anything, Jungkook needed the money more than he did, knowing his mom's struggling to juggle three jobs while also trying to fit extra shifts in her schedule.
Taehyung hated his life, as ungrateful as that sounded. He didn't expect people to understand why but he had his reasons.
"Hyung?" Jungkook called out in a whisper, careful not to wake up the sleeping Jaegeun. The blonde only hummed as a response, closing his eyes once he realized he's been staring for too long. "What's on your mind?"
"Nothing you need to worry about."
"Are you really gonna be like that again?"
"Fine, I'm just thinking about how much I hate my life. That's all I'm gonna say." The younger sighed, not wanting to push his hyung over the edge.
"So... the pink bunny?" Taehyung asked with smirk as he attempted to change the subject. His eyes were closed but he knew the boy was blushing. "I'm guessing they're yours?"
"Y-yes. No. Kinda." Jungkook scratched the back of his head with his left hand since he was cradling Jaegeun with his right arm. "It's my stepsister's. Well... ex-stepsister." This made the blonde open his eyes.
"Ex?"
"Yeah."
There was a moment of silence before Taehyung decided to speak up.
"Do you miss her?"
"A lot."
"Wanna talk about it?"
"There's not much to talk about really." The bunny boy said with a sad smile. "She's about five now but she became my sister maybe about two years ago. Every year, I'd get her a stuffed bunny because they were her favorite. She said they reminded her of me which is why she loved them." He chuckled, clearly trying to hide his dejection.
Taehyung stayed quiet the whole time, letting the boy pour any emotions that he wanted to pour, only nodding every now and then.
"I loved her. I still do as you can tell." He continued. "But my mom and her dad decided to get a divorce due to reasons that involve her dad being an asshole. My stepsister was one of the most adorable children that I've ever met. She was smart and would listen to me rant about my problems even if she didn't understand half of them.
"Once our parents got a divorce, her dad gave me back the stuffed bunnies since he didn't want her daughter to have anything to do with me once we moved out. She was sad when I left and I haven't talked to her for months now. I'm just scared that her dad won't take care of her but I'm glad my mom decided to leave him." Jungkook maintained eye contact with Taehyung throughout his whole story, letting the older know that he was being sincere and that his stepsister was important to him.
"I'm sorry you had to be separated from her, Jungkook." The blonde said with a sigh and the boy only shrugged, not really knowing how to respond since he'd only told Jimin about this. "Did you're mom do anything wrong? Why were you so cold to her earlier?"
"No she didn't do anything wrong. I was mad at her for not leaving him sooner but I know I'm being stupid. She's hurting and I don't know how to approach her. I have no one else to let out my anger to so I always end up taking it out on her."
"You are stupid." Tae whispered with a scowl. "At least your mom tries showing her love unlike mine. You better talk to her soon and fix things. You two need each other at a time like this."
"I know, I know." The later agreed, knowing the boy is right.
"We'll you should go to sleep, you're eyes are practically already shut." The blonde told him and the bunny boy hummed in response, already on the verge of drifting off.
"Oh and Hyung?"
"Yeah?"
"You should wear your glasses more often. They look good on you."
Taehyung smiled, seeing as the boy fell asleep right after the sudden compliment.
"Goodnight, bun."
