Song: Jealous by Labrinth
=====
"You're so stupid, Hoseeoook." The redhead scolded his bottle of alcohol, holding it up before taking a swig. "Y-you knew he didn't like you deep down but your hoooorrnyy ass got the best of yooouu." He bitterly laughed to himself, tear stained cheeks crinkling when he took another drink, and another, and another.
The bottle was now completely empty, Hoseok having drank the whole thing on his miserable walk home. Thankfully the pain in his pants have died down during that time.
He still wasn't halfway to his house considering Jackson's mansion was really far from where he lived.
The whole way, he questioned his actions and how he was easily controlled by Yoongi despite knowing that he shouldn't have let a drunk person take over him.
It hurt knowing that Yoongi liked Jimin even with just the one week of knowing him yet Hoseok had been trying for years, ever since freshman year, for the older to show a liking to him. He envied Jimin.
All he had to do was show up with equally as enthusiastic energy as Hoseok yet Yoongi chose the latter.
"W-what does he have that I don't?" He asked the night sky, tears starting to pour again from the lack of alcohol to distract him. "Am I really that unlovable?"
Every time the younger would even try to flirt, the mint haired boy brushes him off and leaves.
Hoseok hadn't even had his first kiss until an hour or two ago. Seems pathetic but he was saving himself for the perfect guy and he really thought he saw that guy in Yoongi. But shouldn't the perfect guy love him back?
All he wanted was for that cliché story where someone else tried persuading him to be theirs. He hated being the one to chase after the guy he loved. Even before Yoongi.
He was always the one heartbroken in the end.
Suddenly, nausea took over his thoughts as he quickly hunched over a tree, clutching his stomach. His vomit mixed with his salty tears as they exit his body.
Once he's thrown up everything that his stomach contained, he leaned his arm on the tree trunk, looking down at the disgusting sight as he sobbed his pains away.
Why can't anyone love me.
The Following Monday
Hoseok unknowingly kept his focus on Jimin for most of lunch. He couldn't blame Yoongi. Jimin was beyond beautiful especially with his dyed pink hair.
I could never compare to him. The boy miserably thought to himself while he played with his school provided food, not having the appetite to eat despite his acidic stomach that growled from time to time.
The worst part was that it seemed that Yoongi didn't remember what happened in the party considering he texted Hoseok the day after to complain about his massive headache and why he left him at Jackson's place.
Of course, the redhead lied about the real reason.
The mint haired older looked at Jimin with soft eyes, thoroughly listening to his rants which stung Hoseok's heart. He never listened to me like that.
Hoseok sobbed to himself as he hid behind the large garbage bins, not wanting any of his peers to see him in his vulnerable state.
That was stupid to want though because a guy that's about a few inches shorter than him, emerged his head from the corner of the hallway, light brown hair peaking out of his black hood as he sat beside the younger.
"Hoseok? Are you okay?" The boy asked with concern clear in his tone. He placed a hand on his shoulder which made the blonde flinch only to relax not long after. He wiped his own tears before looking up to display a forced smile towards the guy. "I'm fine. Don't worry about it."
"You really think I'd buy that? You're clearly crying."
"I was hoping you wouldn't notice." Hoseok mumbled, looking down at his lap, making the older roll his eyes. "Come on, you can tell me anything. I'll listen."
The blonde mentally bickered with his conscience who was telling him that there was no harm in opening up but his mind said otherwise. Finally, admitting defeat to himself, the boy spoke. "I just found out that this guy that I've liked for a while doesn't like me back. I know, it's probably stupid that I'm crying over him and you don't care because I look dumb right now but-"
"If I didn't care then I wouldn't have asked you to tell me in the first place, now would I?" Yoongi chuckled, trying to lighten up the younger's mood which somewhat worked since he got a small smile out of him. "And it's not stupid, it's called heartbreak. We all go through it at least once in our lifetime. But regardless, you shouldn't cry over him, he's the stupid one in this situation for not seeing what a great guy you are." Hoseok smiled at the thoughtful response before laying his head on his friend's shoulder.
"Thanks, Yoongi."
"No problem. I hate seeing you so down over a guy. I hope this'll be the only heartbreak you'll have to go through in your life."
"I hope so too." He sniffed, clinging onto the older's arm in comfort.
And that was the last time that Hoseok cried.
And the first day he realized he liked Yoongi as more than just a friend.
Back To the Present Day
Hoseok snapped out of his thoughts when he realized that he'd been reminiscing back to the time he labeled Yoongi as that sweet antisocial kid, despite the cold personality. From that day on, he thought the older would be his protector and take all the pain away.
Man was he wrong.
Sighing, he averted his gaze away from the pink haired boy.
On the other side of the table, Taehyung and Jungkook seemed very odd. Seemed more like the older was avoiding the other but knowing the blonde, he wouldn't be able to resist talking to the boy for long.
Even Taehyung and Jungkook got their someone. They may be in denial, but the redhead knew that they like each other no matter how many times Jungkook tried to convince his friends that he's straight. He just wished that Taehyung wouldn't be so naive to overlook that lie.
Looking back at Yoongi and Jimin, his heart ached and he didn't know if he could take another second to endure this. So he stood up, clearing his throat. "I-I gotta go use the restroom. I'll see you guys later."
He hurriedly rushed out of the room before anyone could question him, grabbing his bag and throwing his disposable tray in the process, with his head hanging low. Coming to a halt next to the boy's restroom, he leaned his forehead on the wall.
Make the pain go away, please.
