Hoseok's POV (3rd person)
The redhead was feeling particularly happy today. He didn't know if it was because of Taehyung's birthday sleepover or the fact that he got to hang out with Jimin.
Over the course of the week, Hoseok had come to terms that he may have took a liking to the pink haired mochi.
How could he not?
After that day in the park, they've been texting everyday and even hung out at a coffee shop once just to chat.
It was getting easier and easier to get along with Jimin. Butterflies would always be evident in his stomach every time the younger leaned against him while laughing with his eyes crinkling from his bright smile. But he's scared.
He's not dumb. He knows the younger fancied Yoongi too. But he's holding on to that hope that if the male knew Hoseok's feelings for him, then he would change his mind.
He was also aware that Yoongi liked Jimin. If it were last year, the redhead would've no doubt stayed out of the way and let the two be together even if it hurt. But putting people first was starting to get tiring. Especially when he never got anything in return for it. When he did, it would be heartbreak.
"Hey Hoseok!"
An arm slung around the blonde and he turned to his side to see none other than the guy he's had a crush on for weeks now. "H-hey Jackson."
"You coming to my party this weekend, sunshine?" Jackson asked, unaware of the blush tainting the other's cheeks.
"I don't know. Depends if my schedule changes."
Jackson and Hoseok were close, best of friends you could say. But while they were building their friendship, the blonde caught feelings toward the other.
Yoongi was also friends with Hoseok but not with Jackson. Not that he didn't like the guy, he just wasn't someone he would click with."You better come! You need to help me get with Mark-Hyung!"
"Wait what? M-Mark?" Hoseok's mood suddenly dropped.
"Yeah, I've been trying to get him to notice me for weeks now. He's a fucking snack." The younger gushed.
"Oh. Y-yeah, I guess he is." The blonde said before slipping out of the other's arm. "Hey, I gotta go. Forgot I had some after school things to do."
The boy quickly ran off and hid somewhere.
He spent the rest of the afternoon crying and dwelling upon how weak and stupid he was. That was until Yoongi came to assure him that nothing's wrong with him and that it's normal to cry over things like that.
He felt a bit better after that and decided to go home. Contemplating if he should go to the party or not, he decided to go the next day and help Jackson with Mark despite the aching in his heart. But it was okay. He had Yoongi now.
Back To Present Day
Taehyung and Jungkook were in the living room, already getting ready to sleep while Hoseok stayed in the kitchen, mentally preparing himself for what he was about to do.
He waited until the end of Taehyung's birthday because he didn't want to steal the spotlight from the boy. But now he was waiting for Jimin to get out of the bathroom so he could talk to him.
The redhead didn't particularly know how the younger felt towards him but he was willing to take chances.
The boy wasn't very reluctant on the thought of having to wait years again just to know if the guy he liked had liked him back or not.The sound of the bathroom door in Namjoon's bedroom could be heard and that was Hoseok's cue. He slowly approached the room, still having doubts in his head but pushed them all away as he held the door knob.
He froze once he saw a glimpse of his heart shattering.
Jimin was straddling Yoongi's lap while he sat comfortably on the bed, gripping the younger's waist. They were in the middle of sucking each other's faces off, not seeming to notice the redhead as it only got more heated.
Carefully closing the door, not wanting to interrupt, he silently laughed to himself once it was fully shut.
He should've questioned where Yoongi was. Now only realizing the mint head's sleeping bag was untouched, he felt utterly stupid.
"I guess I deserved that for even trying to be selfish." He shook his head with a low chuckle before quickly heading to his own sleeping bag.
Thankfully the two youngest didn't question him since they were basically already asleep. He finally let the tears flow while he steered in his bag to cover up the sobbing noises he released.
His good mood and confidence where long gone by this time.
