Titus POV

The servants bow as soon as I enter the door.

"Good morning Alpha"

I am too lost in thought to reply them back. Questions fizzle through my brain. Why does she want to see my Beta of all people? Is it because he survived like her? Is it because he has more powers than me? Could she be in love with him?

I decide to mindlink Char.

Where is Beta Norris

In the training centre. Why do you want him.

Nothing seroius

Thank the Goddess. Can I talk to you for a minute, it's important

Not now Char.

Oh ok. Be careful, my love

I flinch at the words. The feeling of guilt fills in me. I have to explain to her what's going to happen in two days but I haven't even made my decision yet. If I do kill her, my mate will accept me, finally open up to me but I will lose my first love. If I don't kill her I lose my mate, she'll reject me and she'll probably kill Char herself. In a more painful way.

I snap out of my thoughts when I reach the door to the training room. I take a deep breath and open the door. Punching bags lay burst open around the floor. Typical. I look around for my Beta and see him in the corner. No sweat on him. I remember the day we spared, it was Char who prevented me dying

He has the power to place bombs in people and things. Tear them apart from the inside. Char said he got this sort of power because we tore him apart by not letting him go back home. We three together make an invincible team and are feared by many but we don't have a good relationship like a we should have, we fight everyday nearly destroying everything around us. It became worse when he found out he had the power to leave the forbidden forest.

He escaped one night and left. We thought we had lost him until he came back the night after. He was very angry and when we tried to talk to him he lashed out and killed half our army.

"Beta Norris." He turns around, the grimace on his face evident.

"What do you want, Alpha." I take another breath in.

"Can I talk to you for a minute"

"I'm busy, Alpha." Hm, he reminds me of her

"No you are not"

"Yes I am" He snarls

"Just give two minutes"

He ignore me and turns back into his fighting position.

"It's important brot-"

"Don't call me that. We're far from blood"

"My apologies"

"Why are you here" he asks

"You are to come to the decision ball in two days time"

"I thought we agreed a long time ago I wouldn't be included in your stupid balls and meetings"

"You are to come it's an Alpha Kings order" I growl

"And when did I ever follow your orders, Alpha. Listen good and listen clearly I will not go to that idiotic meeting. You have no power over me and can't tell me what the hell to do."

His eyes begin to flicker from green to purple.

We can't let his power come out again, negotiate or something

"Stand down Beta Norris. I don't want you there either, trust me but it's upon the orders of someone higher than me"

"We are done talking. I'm not going." He looks me up and down and begins to head for the door.

"Alec what can I do"

When he reaches for the knob, I shout

"If you don't come Charmion's life could be on the line"

He pauses and turns to me

"I'll be there then" he sighs

The door suddenly opens causing Beta Norris to stumble backwards.

"What do you mean, my life could be on the line"
