My eyelids feel heavy when I open them. I am lying in what looks like a library. Books scattered all around me. I run through the shelves looking for a way out but it just seems like I'm stuck in a never ending loop

"Damn you Linwood." I punch the wood. Ironic

That's when I spot someone from the corner of my eye. A woman maybe in her late twenties at a desk, reading a book. A lamp beside her. My mother

She's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Her dark skin shining under the lamp. Her face full, her laugh like rich honey, but what got me was her eyes that shine bright blue. I stay hidden behind the shelf studying her just like she studies her book before a maid walks up to her.

"My Queen the king calls you for dinner"

"Awww I just was about to finish the book." She laughs

" And stop me Queen, Anya. Call me Idallia"

"Yes Idallia" she laughs

"Now let us go."

When she stands up I gasp out of surprise. She's pregnant.

I follow them out the door where a bright light shines in my face.

I find myself in a grand dining hall adorned with gold. Idallia sits beside a handsome man at the top of the table. He holds her hand and strokes her hair often.

I walk to them even though I know they can't see me.

I take in my father's features as he speaks. He has a strong jaw with the same dark skin as his wife. He has a muscular build and stands tall in his seat. His eyes unlike his wife's are a dark grey

The voice of a skinny man beside him draws my attention. I stumble back in shock. I sit on the floor and rub my eyes, making sure I am seeing the right person.

The man who killed my parents

His wife seated beside him and what looks like a 3 year old Olu in her lap.

I scowl at them as they smile at the couple. All I want to do is wipe those sick smiles off their faces

"Everyone may I have your attention" the King says.

The room goes quiet

"Tomorrow it is said my wife, your Queen will give birth to a baby girl as said by a witch."

Everybody cheers

"Have you decided on a name yet" a voice familiar to me says

I look over and see Linwood, seated beside the King.

"No, my dear friend we haven't" the Queen says

What

Dear friend Linwood, was a dear friend to the King and Queen of the Human kingdom, my parents

Everybody goes back to their food and I watch Linwood as he drinks his glass of red liquid

I am taken next to what looks like a bedroom.

I find Idallia seated in front of a fire rubbing her belly lovingly. The king comes over and kisses her.
