On the Other Side

I drop to the ground holding my side as cheers erupt from the crowd

"People of the Blood kingdom we have found our new shadows" he screams

You people are sick, I feel like screaming but I just don't have enough energy for it

I take one last breath before passing out

I wake up to a familiar scent and find myself back in Linwood's bedroom.  I fail badly trying to get up. The pain is just too much. Those jerks really hit me hard.

I try to lift myself up again and again but give up eventually, maybe I just need to heal some more

I hear barks from the edge of the bed and open my eyes. Any sign of pain leaves my body when I spot Togo

Togo jumps and comes running to me. I snuggle him and he licks my face

"Oh I missed you" he barks in return

"You've gotten so big, what have you been eating" I laugh

Togo barks

"I'm lucky to have you" I laugh

Togo suddenly gets pulled out of my arms, I glare at Linwood.

"Give him back"

He lazily rolls his eyes and puts a glass of blood in front of my face

"Drink it"

I snatch the glass from him and gulp down the liquid, when I put it down I notice him staring at my neck, clenching his fist.

"What"

I become worried when he doesn't answer

"Linwood"

He takes in a shaky breath before saying

"He hurt you"

"Who"

"That-"

"Who Evan, I'm fine"

"No you're not" he touches my neck and I flinch, unconsciously

"Linwood I'm fine really" I pull him down so he's lying beside me

"I'll get better" I look him in the eye

"I hope so, or else that guy is-"

I use my fingers to brush his cheek

"Can you stop talking about him, please"

"No"

I lay beside him, snuggled into his chest, it doesn't take long for me to fall asleep
