Linwood's POV

"I need you to calm down"

Jeana's all over the place. Shattered glass is sprayed across the floor. Her eyes are glowing red while white streaks are running down her arms and legs snaking towards her neck. She looks like she's suffocating.

And it kills me that I can't do a thing to help

She claws at her neck like she's trying to rip something out while her fangs start to elongate, piercing into her bottom lip.

I hold myself back as I watch the scarlet liquid drip from her lip.

She suddenly collapses on the floor and I lunge to catch her in my arms, she screams out in agony. Knocking is rampant on the door but I ignore it.

"Help...me" she breathes out

I know the only thing I can do will hurt her but I just have to. I bite down on my faded mark at the base of her neck and drain out the blood. Her eyelids start to drop as her breathing becomes heavier.

I lick the wound clean and carry her to our room, helping her remove the dress and putting her in the hoodie she always wears around the house.

I stroke her hair and place a soft kiss on her head, watching as she stirs in her sleep. Maybe I shouldn't have told her, she would be fine if I just kept it a secret

But when she told me that she needs me that was enough for me to spill all my secrets, even the ones she didn't want to know. I felt like taking her there and making her my queen.

She's all I need and more

Another knock on the door pulls me out of my thoughts.

I walk over making sure to close the door after me to avoid waking up Jeana

"M-my king"

It's Elisa, tears are dripping from her eyes while her nightgown and hands are covered in blood and by the way it smells it's not her own
