Jeana POV

I jump out of the bed and rise. A large crate lays beside me, it reads:

Happy birthday

from Era

That idiot, I quickly open it, three rapier swords lay inside it. I pick them up and place two of them crosswords and one parallel down my back. The crate disappears quickly.

I take time to look around the room for escape routes. I walk towards the window, the forest seems to surround the kingdom of Wolves. They must be very rich, this should be an easy escape. I reach for the window handle and feel pain shoot through my arm. A bandage wraps around it the place where that beast bit me.

"Corasi begin to heal"

Yes J

The windows were bolted. Great. I look out and see guard upon guard surrounding the castle.

Well there goes my chances of escaping easily. I turn and look at the walls, there is a vent. large enough to fit me. I climb unto the bed and unscrew the bolts on them with one of my swords. As I climb in I hear a scream, filled with pain, serious pain. I pause.

J don't get distracted

I climb in and begin to crawl through, I pass every room in the castle and note for later use. Something stops me at a certain area, I look down and look at the room below me. I see nothing but a mess, clothes everywhere and it smells like sweat. But mostly mint and lemongrass

Ew, but it seems somewhat familiar. I rake my brain for answers. As the person steps out.

Jeana remember why we are here

I continue forward and finally reach a vent that seems to lead to the kitchen, I open it and hurry outside.

"Wait" someone shouts

My wolf begins to growl

You are his mate don't look him in the eye look at something else like... I don't know the pot in the corner.

Weirdo

"Tell me your name" he inches closer. Every step he takes, I take 2 steps back. Inching closer and closer to the window

"My wolf hates rejection" he growls

I snort "Get used to it"

"Mate look at me" I continue to look down

He begins to move closer. "My name is Titus. I am yours and you are mine"

People are coming J, we need to leave. We have already been seen." Corasi warns. "You must injure him, he will catch us if we leave him unharmed

"Understood" I mutter

I unsheathe one of my swords and point it at his throat. He doesn't make a move, he just stands there, his heart's core shakes with sadness, helplessness and despair. He feels like dying without his mate by his side

My wolf whimpers. I turn and make a run for the left window.

I jump out shifting mid air and sprinting through the forest.

I can hear his growl from the window. I ignore it and travel for many hours even with the use of my high speed

When I reach the dwelling by sunrise. I shift and look at it. It's beautiful, surrounded by trees and it seems peaceful. I even hear a stream nearby.

The inside was even more worth it. The outside looked old but the inside was so modern. I pass the sitting room and kitchen and continue down the hall and come to three doors. Two are bedrooms with closets and bathrooms, the other one is basically a fun room, with a note on it saying

Better be grateful

Era

Food, speakers everything you need to relax and of course my training equipment

No one can enter or see the dwelling unless you permit it. Corasi informs. Now go put some clothes on.

I walk into my room, it's simple. I love it. I walk into the closet and pick an oversized black t-shirt. When I reach the kitchen and I grab some bread and turn on the T.V

"Hey Corasi, what is a mate"

A mate is your other half, someone who the goddess picked for you. once you find your mate, its hard to resit them.

"Era knee, didn't she. How could you resist him."

He would get in our way, trust me it was hard his wolf was calling to me, he wanted us.

"So if I looked into his eyes, we would feel the same way, right?"

Yes, you were getting pretty emotional

"You were whimpering baby" I teased

Ha, I feel only what you feel, big baby. We must sleep

I was already dozing on the couch

"Goodnight Corasi"

Goodnight Jeana

That was the first night, I didn't dream of my brother but of Titus
