Trial

I wake up in the cherry blossom field. I frantically look around but stop when I see myself standing in front of the thing, it's a wolf, it's definitely a wolf. I begin twirling the knives in my hand. It starts baring it's teeth.

"Come on then"

Damn I sound confident, where did that come from

It growls. It's eyes start to change colour, as if it's conflicting itself.

Oh no. It's about to bite me. I run between the animal and me. It lunges but passes right through me and bites my arm, well her arm. She stabs him in the shoulder. She's about to fight back but that girl. I see her from the shadows, she begins a mumbling a foreign language. It sounds like Romanian and I pass out.

The beast suddenly transforms into a man. A naked man. I take a good look at him avoiding his...area. He was beautiful, and stood tall. He radiated a powerful aura, one that someone shouldn't mess with. I'm 5"8 but he seemed to have a few feet against me

He had brown hair but what got me were his eyes. They were an amazing dark brown, almost to the point of black but swirling in them were a vibrant orange.

"Char, take her to the palace" he says his voice is like honey, rich and deep.

The girl steps out. She has curly hair in two pigtails and brown eyes with light brown skin. I find it funny how she doesn't seem to be fazed by this guy being naked.

"Yes Alpha"

Is that his name. With a few more mumbles my body floats behind them both. I run after them.

"Both of you. Hey. Let me go, stop that. I swear if I ever see either of you again, I will kill you." but they don't hear me.

They are both silent but Alpha's aura is getting darker and the fear in Char's eyes is evident that it speaks enough

I follow them until they begin to fade away.

White walls surround me, blocking me in. I hate small spaces, I'm claustrophobic.

Kneeling in front of me are my parents and my 10 year old brother. I run to him and ignore my parents as my tears fall. He smiles but before I can speak a woman graced in white robes appears in between them. I take a step back.

"Hello Jeana, welcome to your trial. I am the Goddess. Every human who enters into the forbidden forest must face a trial, if they pass they are given a reward, if they fail they die. Your trial is to choose who dies."

She looks between my brother and my parents and hands me a knife.

"You must choose who dies. If you choose right you pass"

I look between my parents and my brother and they both smile at me. I think about my decision and then look at the woman in front of me. She looks me in the eye.

"I have made my decision."

I twirl my knife. I run and place it at the woman's neck. Blood begins to drip down her neck. It stains her perfect white robes with red patches

I glare at her but her expression stays neutral.

"No one ever makes me choose, I make my own decisions in my own time. Understand Goddess?"

She smiles and appears behind me

"You passed, you are smart Jeana."

I look at her surprised. My parents and brother disappear. She steps towards me. She brushes a piece of my black hair out of my face

"My dear, it's time for you to learn how the forbidden forest came to be"
