Sam’s POV
At first running and fighting along with North was a bit awkward, but over time she started to grow on me.
I already had a bloody knuckle, and a torn up knee; but at the moment the only thing I could really feel was an adrenaline rush.
The three of us were running down a narrow hallway, when someone came around the corner; shooting rapidly once they saw us.
“Get down!” Connor yelled. He pulled me down, and North dropped down beside me.
The person’s gun was aimed right at Connor, so I jumped back up and before they could shoot me, I kicked them in between the legs; aggressively snatching their gun away.
Thank god it was a dude; it might not have worked if he was a she.
I held the gun up to his face, and let him speak.
“Any last words?” I asked.
“Y-You’re a human! W-Why are you with them?” He asked frantically. I shrugged; a severe feeling of indifference washing over me.
“They might as well be human too.” I raised the gun up once more, when he started to whine.
“Please! Please don’t kill me!”
My god.
“Alright, I won’t kill you.” I shot his leg, then followed Connor as he ran past the man. From behind I could hear his sharp scream, then a long wince.
Come on, I’ve gotten shot twice already in these past couple months, and I wasn’t even that big of a baby!
North high-fived me as we ran, and out of the excitement and different emotions, a part of the plastic under my skin showed; so I quickly pulled away, and avoided looking at North as she sent me confused glances every once in a while.
A few minutes later we ran into Josh and Simon, and the two seemed extremely relieved.
“Sam?--”
“Where’s Markus??” North interrupted him as she looked around in a panic.
“He said he was going to activate the bomb; he should be coming back soon.” Josh responded.
We all waited in the small opening waiting for Markus to come (only one person came by while we were waiting, but Connor shot them) so we made conversation in hope of lightening up the mood for a moment.
Though that didn’t last long on my part.
“Sam, can I ask you a question?” North inquired. She looked down at my right hand, and I already knew what was coming.
“Uh, sure. G-Go for it..” I stuttered nervously.
“Are you actually a human?”
Everyone stared at me, and once I looked into Connor’s eyes, I almost passed out.
“Uh, well, for the most part--” I ‘joked’. Markus came up behind us with a few guards chasing him, and immediately yelled for us to run.
As we sped away, a shot from one of the men's guns rang out, and from behind I heard a thump.
“Go! Save yourselves!” North yelled. Markus shook his head and picked her up off the floor. I ran over to them, and helped North walk; her arm draped over my shoulders for balance. Connor shot the few men behind us as we helped North, so now no one was following us.
He stood next to me, and put his hand on my lower back; making sure I wouldn’t fall behind with North.
We all followed Josh and Simon, until we made it to an opening. It was a gaping hole that lead outside-- except the ground was probably about one hundred feet down, and it was also under the water.
“Should we find somewhere else to leave?” Simon asked as he looked at me.
I shook my head with a determined facial expression.
“No. We aren’t getting caught because of me--”
“Sam, I don’t want you getting sick!” Connor groaned; worry filling his brown eyes.
“If I get sick, you can just fix me up, Con! If we try to find another exit, we could all die. I'm gonna take my chances on getting sick.” I replied with a sweet smile on my face. He grudgingly agreed, and watched as the others jumped off the edge.
He grasped onto my hand, and squeezed.
“Three. Two. One.”
*~*~*
We all made it to land in one piece (thankfully) and I was starting to realize Connor was right.
I shivered, but tried to keep it to a minimum; I didn't want anybody sympathizing me because I was the only human there-- but of course I was cold. I was freezing! Wet, and freezing.
Connor and I trailed behind everyone as they searched for a place to hide out.
“You're shivering..” Connor pointed out.
I nodded, and shoved out a small chuckle.
“Ya think?” I replied sarcastically.
He took his-- or Hank’s-- jacket off, and offered it to me.
“You need it a lot more than I do.” He said with a big grin.
“Did you just make a joke?”
“I guess I did.” He stepped behind me as we walked, and slipped the jacket over my shoulders. I zipped it up, then looked back up at Connor.
All he had on now was a dark grey hoodie, the beanie, and a pair of jeans.
It was odd seeing him without his normal android suit; but I liked it. A lot.
I slipped my hand into his, and interlocked fingers with him; he brought our hands up to his lips, then kissed the back of my hand.
Since it was my right hand, I was nervous that the skin might vanish at any moment-- I was now aware of how much I was able to control it, and that wasn't very much.
Plus, every time Connor even touches me, my insides practically explode, and my face immediately turns red-- so who's to say when it will happen next?
It seems to happen haphazardly every time my emotions become too much for me; whether it's negative or positive. I'll just need to learn how easy it's triggered, and how to stop it before it happens.
About half an hour later, we made it to an old abandoned church. Other deviated androids were already there, and I wondered how they knew where to go-- but then I realized Markus was practically robo-Jesus, so that pretty much answered my question.
Now, where do we go from here?
A/N: THIS IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE: What's Connor and Samantha's ship name? I need to know for.. science.
Don't worry about why I need to know, I just want one that most of y'all will find acceptable lol. You'll see why soon enough, I just need their ship name before you can see XD
Also: Yeehaw, what kind of robo-God came down to earth and blessed us with two chapters in one day??
He went to the store, found an extra update somewhere, put it in his bag (he didn't buy it though; he did a little bit of shoplifting) and poured it on your face!
You're welcome.
What do you think of this story so far??
Requests for fluff and stuff is always appreciated :)))
Very much love ♡♡♡
