Sam's POV

I put my hair up in a tight bun, and put the android clothes on; leaving a couple strands of hair out in front of my forehead.

I strut myself to Hank's desk, and held my arms behind my back.

"I'm Connor.." I started. "The android sent by Cyberlife."

Hank shook his head, and buried his face in his hands. "I swear to god.." He mumbled.

"I like dogs." I said; trying my hardest not to laugh.

"You like dogs, Connor? So do I!" Connor agreed; playing along.

Wow, I'm surprised he isn't exploding with questions right now.

"Yeah, me fuckin too-- that's why I have one. Now go do your work, I don't wanna have to deal with this shit right now." Hank replied, rubbing his temples.

I pulled my chair up next to Connor, and scrolled through his computer.

"What are you doing?" He asked; a slight look of amusement spread across his face.

"I'm doing my work. I apologize if this is an inconvenience toward you, and your work; but I'm Connor. This is my desk." Connor smiled, and rolled his chair away; giving me entrance to his desk.

He sat next to me and watched me do 'work.'

"I do not understand why you are staring at me. I am just simply doing my work!" I smiled on accident, and tried to cover it up.

He studied me for a moment, then looked away.

After about a minute, he gazed down at me (seeing as I was shorter) and smiled.

Oh boy is that an adorable smile.

God dammit. Stop thinking like this! He's an android, he can't develop any type of feelings!

"Sa-- er, Connor, I need your help in the kitchen. Something seems peculiar about the coffee." Connor ordered. I nodded, and followed him to the kitchen.

"What's the problem, here?" I asked; forcing my voice to become deeper.

He was silent for a moment.

"The uh, the coffee is.. lighter than what it was a few days ago.." Connor trailed off. "You see; a few days ago it was cooler; darker. Now, it almost has a sense of liveliness to it."

The fuck is he getting at?

He thought for a moment before continuing.

"It has become warmer; even lighter. Instead of making others feel cold, and, well, almost nothing at all; it now makes others feel pleasant inside-- but, the coffee itself wouldn't be like that, if it didn't have help."

I nodded, and urged him to go on.

"Okay, so what makes the coffee hot?" Connor asked.

I feel like this has become a fucking TEDx talk.

"The coffee pot." I smiled; recieving a smile back from Connor.

"Alright, and let's just say, maybe you were the coffee pot.." He looked into my eyes, and I slightly blushed.

Is being a coffee pot good? I'm so confused.

"And let's say I was the coffee.." He looked away and started fiddling with his quarter.

Wait.. Is he saying I make him feel... warm?? Alive?? No. He can't be. Maybe he just really wants to be coffee.

I would personally love to be a coffee pot!

I tried to fill my mind with jokes, and stupid things about coffee, but nothing worked.

"Sam.. I don't know how else to explain this without being blunt about it." He looked extremely confused as we made eye contact.

"Sam.. I-I think--" Connor's face was now blue, and he couldn't stop stuttering-- which was odd, because he hardly ever messed up on his words.

His LED kept transitioning between yellow and red, and he wouldn't stop fidgeting with that quarter; which I secretly loved.

"Argh, we got another god damn android?? I fucking swear you things are stealing everyone's god damn jobs!" I heard Gavin's voice behind me.

"You can just shut your nasty ass trap right now, Gavin. I'm Samantha, dumbass. Why do you hate androids so much??" I don't understand why I got so triggered by it, but I was fricken furious.

"Oh, Samantha! Yenno, I just got this thought... Maybe you wouldn't have to beg for a shitty piece of plastic's love if you weren't such a bitch! You're hot though, I'll give you that." He smirked as he got closer.

"Since when was this about me, Gavin?? Why do you have to shove negativity to everything around you? Can't you just be happy? Can't you have an open-mind for once? Not everything is bad! Androids aren't shitty pieces of plastic, and I'm not a complete and utter bitch! What is your problem??" He seemed taken aback by this, but he only grew closer.

Connor stepped in front of me, and held his hand out to stop Gavin.

Gavin let out a loud, yet un-amused, chuckle. "Are you protecting her?? What am I gonna do that's so bad? I work for the police, it would be stupid to hurt somebody."

Connor didn't move as they made eye contact.

"Move." Gavin ordered. Connor didn't listen.

"I only take orders from Lieutenant Anderson, and Miss Parker." He stated.

Holy shit, seeing him like this was actually kinda hot. Fuck.

Gavin looked baffled-- and it looked like he was about to say something else-- but Captain Fowler entered the room; seeming quite upset.

"What is the meaning of this?? I can hear your yelling from the office?!" He questioned, his hands wrested on his hips.

Connor stepped away, and folded his arms behind his back.

"Gavin's my problem." I replied in a snarky tone. Gavin only looked down; clearly ashamed.

"Sir, it wasn't Samantha's fault. She was sticking up for me; it was my fault." Connor stated matter-of-factly.

Connor, nooo!

"Well whatever happened between you guys needs to end now! I don't wanna have to suspend anybody; especially not now. Deviancy is rising, and so are all crimes in general. Get your shit together, or I will not hesitate you fire you! Or, send you back to Cyberlife!" Fowler pointed to Connor at the last part. He mainly looked at Gavin, but it was definetely directed to all three of us.

I apologized, and slowly walked out; Connor trailing behind me.

Well shitty-tits.
