Samantha’s POV-
~A few days later~
Samantha held her eyes shut, while Connor sat beside her; his arm draped around her shoulder, and his eyes scanning the television. She slowly breathed in and out in a rhythmic manner, and bit her lip.
Where are you? She thought to herself. The voice-- or, the RK900 hasn’t been talking in the past week-- and you’d think that’d be good. Truth-be-told, it only made her worry even more; where was he, and why was he so quiet?
Last time I knew, you didn’t want me in your head.
I just want to know exactly why you’re in my mind.
But I thought I ruined your life? I personally thought I was doing you a favor, but--
--I just have a few questions, okay??
Why don’t you ask Elijah Kamski? He’s the one who fixed you.
He didn’t fix me, he--
“Sam? Are you alright?” Connor’s soft voice awoke her from her trance, causing Sam to clear her throat, and smile.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Just…”
“Is the voice back?” He asked knowingly. She pushed her mouth to the side as she looked down at her lap.
“Well, I kind of asked him to come back…"
Connor gazed at Sam and tilted his head as he furrowed his eyebrows. There was really no point in her lying to him, so why would she?
“Why would you do that?”
“I wanted to know why he was so silent. Maybe he’s up to something-- I don’t know! It just makes me feel uneasy.”
He nodded, and kept his mouth shut for a moment; pondering on what to say next.
“If you’re upset, I may know what’ll help cheer you up.” Connor said with a small smile.
It wasn’t that she was necessarily upset about it; she just felt on-edge-- and a good distraction could help take her mind away.
“Alright. Hit me.”
“Hit you?? W-Why would I do that? I could never hurt you!” Connor replied in a shocked manner. Samantha giggled and left the trace of a smirk on her face as she looked into his eyes.
“It’s a figure of speech-- I meant for you to tell me your idea, you dork!”
He let out a small chuckle and nodded his head; his yellow LED swirling back into a light blue.
“It’s a surprise-- I can’t tell you.” Connor stated with a smirk. Sam rolled her eyes playfully, and gently placed a chaste kiss upon his nose.
“Well, since we’ve got the whole day to do what we want, can we go clothes shopping for you? Don’t get me wrong-- you looked really hot in just a T-shirt-- but I want the whole sha-bang!” She asked entusiastically; standing up with a quick jump. Connor followed her movements, then wrapped his arms around her waist; staring into her eyes lovingly.
“As you wish, my love.”
*~*~*
The duo went to the mall first for Connor; he had told her that he wanted to wait until the end to go to her surpise, but he seemed anxious almost the whole afternoon-- egging her on about the time.
“It’s two o’clock.” He stated nervously.
“I know, you want to be there by seven-- we still have five hours, Con! It’s alright! Now, follow me; I have a place in mind, but first we gotta find it!” Samantha grasped Connor’s hand, and dragged him to a resting area-- which used to be a place to set your androids while you were shopping, but most of the buildings changed them to normal break-sections for everyone.
She walked up to a pole that stuck out of the ground, and set her hand atop the thin blue platform; letting the machine scan it. Once it finished, a small screen showed up.
“What would you like to find?” The small machine questioned. Sam glanced at Connor in excitement for a moment, then clicked the search bar; typing in the words ‘Meb’s Clothing’.
“I’m sorry. You’re search could not be read; try looking for mispells, correct brand names, grammar, gender, or store names!” The female voice rang out.
“Crap, autocorrect didn’t save me this time!” Sam joked. Connor smiled as he gazed at her in adoration; observing her as she typed in ‘Men’s Clothing’ correctly.
“What body size are you looking for?”
Samantha looked back at Connor, and asked him to turn around.
“Why?” He questioned with his eyebrows furrowed together.
“I need to check your size.” Connor nodded, and turned around; feeling chills rush throughout his body as her fingers brushed against his neck. “Okay, I’m done!” He faced her once more, and watched as she clicked various buttons.
“And… Done! Let’s go, Con! Oh, I’m so excited to pick out some outfits for you!!”
She squeezed his hand once more, and pulled him away from the station; biting her lip in anticipation.
Connor couldn’t believe how hard he fell for this woman; it was so fast, it almost seemed like there wasn’t a time they weren’t together. In his eyes, she was perfect to him; everything from her silky hair, to her beautiful scars. He couldn’t get over how amazing she was-- and he felt like he could never show her exactly how much he loved her-- like anything he did wasn’t good enough.
Connor convinced Sam the reason he had requested the captain to let them have three days off; was because he wanted to spend quality time with her, and she seemed stress-- and no, technically he wasn’t lying, but he also wasn’t completely telling her the truth. Truth was; he wanted to show her how much she meant to him. He had planned out a few things, and knew the first one would definitely knock her off her feet.
But where would he get the blindfold?
A/N: Hello, I'm sorry for experimenting on y'all, but for Samantha's POV, I might go back to first person view instead of 3rd.
I hope you enjoyed this-- I know it's kind of crappy and dull, but the next couple chapters will be A LOT better!!!!!
Requests are always welcome!
(Also, ima stop complaining about the damn WiFi, because complaining isn't doing anything xDD)
I love you all so much ♡♡♡
