Chapter 10 - Not Everything is About You

Calum's POV

June was nowhere to be seen. I've looked all over the house but still no sign of her. I tried calling her but couldn't reach her.

"Cassie." I saw Cassie with Ashton so I quickly approached them. "Where's June?"

Cassie shrugged, "She was with me earlier but then you guys came, I lost her. She's probably with Dylan."

Dylan? I don't remember any Dylan in Beta.

"Dylan's a girl. Don't freak out. She has long brown hair with eyeglasses." After she said that I quickly looked for that Dylan but also couldn't see her.

My phone suddenly vibrated and it was Tom. I picked it up. "What?"

The music was too loud so I couldn't hear whatever he was saying.

I walked into the closest bathroom and locked myself in a stall. "What is it?" I asked again. I heard the door of the bathroom open, there were voices obviously from the girls.

"June's with me. She's wasted, can you come get her?" Ugh. Finally. Wait, why is June with Tom?

I was about to walk outside when I accidentally heard Cassie's name come out of the girl's mouth.

"Cassie Salvatore? She's Delta material, of course we'll take her." Cassie would easily get into any sorority she wants. "Plus, we need someone to raise our GPA while we're out partying." What did she just say?!

"How about that Dylan girl, with the glasses?" The other girl asked.

Dylan? Isn't that June's friend? At least according to Cassie.

"What? The girl who spilled her drink on me? Of course not. This is a thousand dollar dress and she just spilled drink on it?!" Ugh. Girls.

"Then why were you being nice to her earlier?" As much as I don't want to eavesdrop, I am curious as to what her answer is.

"Of course so she'll think that we're taking her. That way, she won't be rushing other sororities, leaving her with no house at all." What the fuck? What a fucking bitch.

The other giggled like they're not ruining lives. "You're a bitch. I love it."

And June wants to live with these girls?! No way. I'm getting her out of here.

"What about June? How long are you going to put up with her?" June? My June?

I stopped myself from opening the stall and continued listening to them. I swear to God if they do anything to June, I'll rip all their hair off.

"Just until the annual Greek competition. We need to win that shit but we wouldn't be able to without her boyfriend." Did she just..

"Boyfriend? That girl has a boyfriend?!" I'm this close to ripping that hair off of her head.

"Are you stupid or dumb?" You're both stupid. "Calum Hood. She's dating Calum Hood."

"You're kidding me!"

"I kid you not. Calum Hood is beauty, brains, and brawn. I heard he only rushed because June rushed so if that is really true, he'll follow June wherever." Shit. So I was right. They only bid June because of me, because they need me and June was too blind to see that.

"I mean, she's not even pretty, her grades are not good as well, we don't have anything but her boyfriend." I balled my fist and anytime now, I could punch someone in the face, it'll be better if it were those girls but I'm not that kind of guy.

"She so pathetic, she thinks we actually like her. I mean, I'm the one perfect for Calum. Once he joins Beta, June's going to be out of the picture." I thought this only happens in films but I guess mean girls are coming to life.
