Calum's POV

"I'm sorry, we couldn't celebrate your birthday properly." June told Michael, holding a glass of water in her right hand while holding french fry on her left.

Michael's birthday was two days before Thanksgiving and since shit happened, we only got to celebrate it two days after the holiday. Although the twins were already discharged the day before, the still had to rest and throwing a huge party is a big no.

"Oh come on. I wasn't really expecting a grand celebration. I didn't even think I'd celebrate it with you guys so just this little get together is enough." Michael reassured her.

According to June, Michael was a huge partier back in the day, or should I say, middle school. Yep, middle school, that young. He was one of those middle schoolers who were cool enough to get invited in high school parties but that changed when he met Mikhaela.

Well, I hated people in middle school so I never went to any parties.

"At least Ethan and Luke managed to organize this whole stuff in such short notice." Ethan and Cassie weren't supposed to be celebrating Thanksgiving with us but since their parents were in Paris for the holiday, they decided to fly here to LA, instead.

June and Malia have been inseparable ever since the incident and I think that's wonderful. I admit, I was a bit shocked when they easily accepted each other at the hospital because if I were June, I would surely lock myself in my room for a month, hating on each and everyone of the people who knew.

Uncle Frank was relieved about what happened and June insisted that just because Malia's now back in the picture, doesn't mean it changes things between her and her father.

That's one thing I love about June: her love for her family; may it be family by blood or not, she treats them fairly with love.

On the other hand, Ellie kept her word about staying away from the twins for a while. Ashton said she's staying at a hotel until the twins decide to see her. Even if she didn't distance herself, I would never let her see June, at least not for a while.

Malia's staying with June and I in my apartment and even if it meant sleeping on the couch for a couple of days, I'll do it for them. They deserve to be happy together.

"The more I look at you two, the more I see the resemblance. Like seriously, it's like the combination of your faces right now was the face of the two of you before." Michael brought out his phone and scrolled through it forever before showing the twins a picture of him, Mikhaela, and June four Halloweens ago.

"Aww, June! You're so cute!" Malia took Michael's phone and gushed over her twin's picture.

"Aren't you supposed to be Luffy?" I questioned Michael, pertaining to the One Piece costumes June and Mikhaela had.

Mikhaela answered for him, "Yeah, he was, but he insisted he looked better as Recca than Luffy. So June and I were stuck as Nami and Robin."

"At least I'm not Little Red Riding Hood, trying to subtly hint my sexual fantasies to my boyfriend." My eyes widened at Michael's comment.

"Mike! That's gross!" June threw a pillow at Michael. "I wasn't trying to do that!"

"Really? Now honestly tell me if you and Calum didn't have sex after that party, huh?!"

"We did not!" June and I said at the same time. Well, we really didn't. At least not after the party. There was that Sydney thing that night so yeah.

"Ha! I don't believe you."

"Mike, I love you, but stop talking about other people's sex lives, okay?!" Thank you, Mikhaela. I don't know if June told them about that night but I'm sure as hell she told them about that thing with Tom.
