Chapter 33 - I Wish That I Could Wake Up

Calum's POV

"Captain!" My former teammates greeted me the moment I walked into the door of Eric's loft.

I know it's Christmas, but Christmas is the only time all of us will be at the same place at once so they decided to hold a reunion.

"Hey man." I greeted each and every teammate, and even the freshmen I don't know.

"Calum! You made it!" Eric greeted me, giving me bro hugs and whatnot. I have to admit, even though Eric are frenemies, I kinda miss those little banters we had, even the fist fight that one time.

"How's married life?"

"Heavenly. You might wanna tie the knot with June soon." He winked, but when he noticed my expression, he quickly added, "Oh please tell me you didn't break up. You're my OTP!"

"No, we did not. It's just, I need to tell you something."

He moved a little closer to me. "Uh, you know how we think that June is Maya?" He nodded. "Well, she really is."

"Wait, you already confirmed it?! Like it's for real, real?"

"Yes. They had to know the hard way, but June and Malia already know. We also had a DNA test, and it went 99.9%." I told him how it happened as he has the right to know since he's on it just as all of were.

"Wow. That's great! That's really great. I'm happy for them. And let's all hang out like old times." I nodded, agreeing with him. I'm sure the twins had so much happy memories with Eric so I think that'll be a good idea.

"Sure. Maybe before we go back to the New York."

"Woooh!" Will shot another cup so his opponent had to drink beer. We've been playing beerpong for the last half an hour and I have to admit, I'm kind of having fun.

The game ended with us winning and I walked over to Eric to tell him I have to go home. I can't be late for the exchanging of gifts, I want to see June's reaction when I give her my gift.

"Calum! Just the guy I was looking for." Eric greeted me, holding a red cup.

"I was looking for you, too actually, I kinda have to go home. June must be looking for me."

It actually surprised me that June hasn't called the whole time I was here. But I guess she's having way too much fun with our friends.

"Oh yeah, but I have to give you some things."

Eric motioned for me to follow him and I did. We walked up the stairs and what I presume is his room.

"Since June already knows she's Maya and she's reunited with Malia, I want you to give her these." Eric brought up a box of things. Books, toys, and whatnot. "These are their stuff I had with me. I only found it recently when Naomi and I moved, that's why I couldn't give them to you."

"No, it's okay, this is, they'll love it. They're actually asking a lot about their past." I chuckled, digging into some of their toys.

"Did they ask about Elliot?" Eric asked with concern.

I shook my head, "No, not recently at least. June asked once but he never came up again."

"How about their mother?"

"Ellie hasn't been around the twins for sometime now. She's back in Minesotta. June's going to look for her when she's ready." I also told Eric about the incident in the apartment, how June knew she was Maya.

Eric nodded in understanding. "Well, that's all the stuff they have with me, I guess."

I thanked him and carried the box. I was about to leave when I remembered something I needed to ask him.
