June's POV
Midterms are coming up and I have yet to divulge in any studying I have to do. Most people in my classes have study groups but since I have nothing to contribute to those study groups, I was never invited into any.
Calum's been busy the past couple of weeks, with soccer and Beta. Despite Jackson's protests, Calum didn't move into the Beta house but he's been an active member.
He enjoys the Beta's company, which is rare to see, so that explains his active participation in any Beta activities or philanthropies as they say.
However, he didn't join the Greek competition which pissed off Megan but they won anyway. The other houses sucked real bad.
Since that night I confronted Calum about his smoking, the topic never came up until now. I haven't seen him smoke or anything so I guess he stopped? Or he hasn't been stressed enough to do it again. I just hope he doesn't smoke again.
In terms of extracurriculars, yes, I am still towel girl and as much as I want to join the cheer team, Megan wouldn't let me. Sydney, the head cheerleader has yet to come in practice because she's still in Hollywood for a movie.
Wow. Just wow. Apparently, Sydney Hawkins is a resident celebrity not only here in NYU but for real. She has her own Youtube channel which has over 1 million subscribers.
If she's in Hollywood, how did Calum know her?
My thoughts were interrupted when I heard Calum yelling from the living room. "June!" He sounded mad.
The door to my room suddenly opened, showing a furious Calum. He is indeed furious. Why is he mad? Did I do something wrong?
"Uh, did I do something wrong?"
"Something wrong?! What the fuck were you thinking?! Oh, right, you weren't thinking at all." He showed the paper he was holding and placed it right in front of me so I could see it.
My eyes widened at what was on the paper and I instantly looked down in embarassment.
"Out of a hundred items, you got seven right. Seven over 100, that's not even half of the passing grade, not even 10%!" I hid this test. I thought I did, but he still saw it.
Oh God. Calum will never let this go.
"I thought you want to get in Computer Sciences? But with this score, you won't get enough to pass that course, let alone achieve the requirements for the transfer."
"What am I supposed to do?! I can't understand shit."
"Then why did you take it?!"
"Because it sounded cool!" I reasoned out. It did. Law and Society really sounded cool, although it literally screamed, 'difficult.'
"Law and Society sounded cool, you say? It's for people interested in law. Are you?" I shook my head. It was labeled as a minor, I thought it wouldn't be that difficult.
He let out a frustrated sigh. "We're studying Law and Society. In the morning, during breaks, even soccer practices since you're basically there and at dinner. Understood?"
I nodded my head. If Calum tutors me, I'd definitely pass the course, but does he know anything about law? I know he's a genius but we never took law in high school.
"Do you have any other courses you're having a hard time with?" I shook my head. As far as I'm concerned, there is no other course that's too difficult.
I mean, I took a couple of courses related to computer science and a few electives that really interest me. Mathematics isn't too difficult when it involves programming or whatnot.
