June's POV
Free period finally! I was too exhausted since this morning and now I get to have a period off. I could go home and take a nap or like sit outside and watch students pass by. "June!" Okay, I guess I'll have other plans, too.
I turned around to see who it was and it was Cassie, running towards me. She sat beside me on the bench. "According to an intel of mine, we're going to have another Delta task tonight. I'm so excited!"
Ugh, why do they always assign a task at night? We all need our precious sleep, you know? But I guess as long as it's aligned with Beta's tasks, there's no harm in seeing my boyfriend even outside the apartment.
"You know I really like to be Delta but if that president ruins it for me, I'm out." She stated, pertaining to Megan. Cassie doesn't seem to like Megan and Lily and she's been vocal about it but the mere fact that she wants to get into Delta, she has to keep it to herself, and maybe me.
"They won't." I assured her. Megan and Lily had been nothing but nice to me so it's common courtesy that I give the niceness back.
Cassie grinned at me, "Actually, you know my friend inside Delta? She invited me inside the house and I want you to come with me."
"What, I can't! She invited you, not me." I replied, emphasizing the word 'you.'
"Oh come on! I thought we're in this together! You said so! This will be something we'll do together." Well, I guess going inside won't be bad, plus the sisters might be in their classes. It's not like I'm breaking any rule. We've been inside the house before so why not?
I sighed, "Fine." Cassie squealed and immediately pulled me with her. "Wait, what, now?" She pulled me and I followed as I struggle to carry my things with me.
When we arrived in Delta, the house is almost empty and we greeted Cassie's friend inside. Apparently, that girl was in the same class as Cassie's and Cassie's been tutoring her because she's slow to pickup every word the professor says. Well, Cassie is really smart, like Calum.
We toured around in Delta and when we got to the second floor, damn. There were a lot of rooms in there, all doors were decorated except for the unoccupied ones. I've been into the house but the second floor has always been off-limits.
"If we're going to pick a room, I choose this." Cassie pointed at a room in between of two decorated doors. It's two doors away from the bathroom and only a couple of walks to the stairs.
Suddenly, her phone rang and she reached for it, excusing herself before taking the call. I looked around for a while. There was a glass cabinet by the stairs and trophies were lodged inside.
Greek Competition 2016
Wow. Delta-Beta won the Greek competition not only last year but also three years before that. They're that competitive.
I admired the trophies before I heard footsteps coming up from the stairs. I quickly hid behind one of the big plants by the corner and sat.
"We're this close. Greek competitions start as soon we get our final Deltas." One girl, which I presume is Megan, due to her voice, spoke.
