June's POV

Calum and I decided to have a date night for two main reasons. First is because, well, it's our month anniversary, and second is because midterms are done.

I knew I did pretty well in the exams so I'm confident I'll pass each and every subject, thanks to Calum's impatient tutoring.

I clapped to myself when the waiter brought our food to the table. Even though how much I declined to eat at a fancy restaurant, he insisted, saying that we deserve this. So maybe we really do.

"You really are the best boyfriend ever." I gushed at the handsome guy in front of me.

"You're just learning that now?" He chuckled as he started digging into his fancy steak.

I did the same and ate my pasta. If this isn't the best food I've ever tasted then I don't know what is. Now I realize why it is so expensive.

"You seem to enjoy your food." Calum wiped his lips with a napkin and drank on his water.

I nodded, "Because it's really good. I love you Cal, and your taste in food. You're going to make me fat."

"If I'm not getting you fat, then I'm not doing my job as your boyfriend right." We both chuckled at what he said.

We were both peacefully eating, laughing at things or just plainly talking from time to time until our attention was caught by someone speaking rather closely to us.

"Fancy seeing you two here." We turned to see who spoke and saw that it was Sydney.

Ugh. I hate how she looks so gorgeous right now and all of the other times. Basically every single day.

I know she and Calum are family friends and they've known each other since they were little but that just makes me a little uncomfortable and jealous

I know she and Calum are family friends and they've known each other since they were little but that just makes me a little uncomfortable and jealous. I mean, she is extremely gorgeous and they're really close.

"Sydney, what are you doing here?" Calum seems obviously shocked about her presence.

"Eating. Obviously, but my date bailed on me. Do you mind if I dine in with you guys?" Please say no, Calum, please say no.

I looked at Calum, trying to decipher what he wanted to do. "Uh, sure, just uh, waiter!" He called one of the waiters and asked for a spare chair.

Ugh. This was supposed to be date night. Just Calum and I.

"I'm sorry to be interrupting your date." Sydney gave us an apologetic look and it actually made me feel bad for her.

"No, it's fine. We don't mind, right June?" Calum smiled at me and how can you resist that cuteness? So I nodded and smiled back at Sydney.

After Sydney ordered her food, we all started eating in silence, a little conversation here and there.

As I was eating, I kept on putting the olives out of my pasta. I never liked olives and Calum always eat them for me whenever we eat food that has olives in them.
