June's POV

It was one of those days when you feel giddy without any reason that nothing would piss your mood off, you're just happy.

I woke up beside my favorite guy, ate breakfast together and spent the day together. We watched Suits all day long. I mean who can resist Patrick J. Adams, amirite?

Both of us didn't have classes for the day but unfortunately, Calum had to leave because he has soccer training.

I was heading to the field right now to watch him practice and maybe dinner after.

"Excuse me, no outsiders." Someone stopped me from entering the field and the bleachers. A guard, perhaps? Yep, he's definitely one, he's in a uniform.

"I'm uh, just going to watch."

"Sorry, no watching. This is a private practice." What? Since when was soccer practice, private? "Since we caught someone spying our practices." Wait, did I say that out loud? "Yes you did."

"Wait, so I can't go in?" So that's why they put walls up on the metal fences. How can I watch Calum now?!

"No. You can wait here."

I walked back from where I came from and some cheerleaders passed by, laughing at their conversation or whatever.

The guard I was talking to earlier let them in. I instantly walked over the guard, "You said it's a closed practice."

"It is. They're cheerleaders. They're practicing, too." Oh, that's unfair! Those cheerleaders could-wait.

I turned to my right and saw a poster of the cheerleading tryouts which is happening, wait for it, today. Guess still nothing can ruin my mood.

"Let me in." I demanded and the guard just looked at me funnily.

"I said-"

"I know." I took the poster from the wall and showed it to him. "I'm trying out for cheerleading."

The try outs were held not in the field but at the covered court. Well I mean, the court's on the field so I can still see Calum when I go out.

If I get into cheerleading, I can see him every single day at practice and prevent those cheerleaders to do anything with Calum.

Possessive, I know. Not very healthy.

That is, if I get in. I don't even know cheerleading terms, I only know a few thanks to the Bring it On movies, but I don't think it taught me enough for the real thing.

I didn't even have gym clothes, because, well, this is impulsive, so I'm wearing a dress with an oversized jean jacket, Calum's jacket. God, these ankle boots are going to get ruined.

"June Lopez?" When I was called in by one of the cheerleaders in uniform, I followed her inside and was met by two girls and a guy in front.

It was like a panel of judges.

However, my two-minute dream of becoming a cheerleader was shattered when I saw who was sitting at the center.

Megan.

"June Lopez. It's nice to see you here." She's head cheerleader? She must be, she's at the freaking center!

I don't recognize the girl on her left, thankfully it wasn't Lily, but the guy on her right was a familiar one. He's a Beta. I remember him with Calum when he streaked that one night.
