"Hey," came a voice with a slight knock at the door. Ash turned her head, seeing Keith walk into her room. She waved slightly, and then went back to staring at the floor.

Keith walked over and sat next to her, making the bed dip down with his weight. Ash hated feeling helpless, but Keith, being the over-protective friend he was, had forced Ash to rest after hitting her head.

"We're about to have dinner, care to join us?" He questioned, trying to make eye contact. Ash looked away, but nodded.

Ash followed Keith out of the room, clinging to his arm silently. They walked down the hall, no communication between the two. As they finally reached the door, it slid open quietly, Keith following Ash inside.

Ash took a seat next to Lance, Keith sliding into the chair on her other side. Lance offered her a smile, which she hesitantly returned. Everyone placed their hands on the table to gather their silverware and eat.

But handcuffs formed tightly around their wrists, chaining them all together. Ash looked left to right confusedly, her eyes growing wide.

Lance watched as the other crew members struggled to break free, the distance between their cuffs shortening. An idea sparked.

He continued to struggle against Ash, the distance slowly but surely becoming shorter. Once there was no distance between their wrists, Lance pulled his hand close to his chest, raising an eyebrow at Ash's confused face.

"You did that on purpose," she said through gritted teeth, trying not to laugh at his cheesy gesture.

"Maybe~" he replied, his other wrist being tugged on by Hunk. Keith, had not realizing the cuffs' distance grew smaller the more they struggled, had been pulled into a three-way hug between him, Ash, and Lance.

Ash burst into laughter, the crew beginning to throw goo at each other. She tore away from Lance's gaze and grabbed a fistful of food-goo.

She turned back to him with innocent eyes, a small blush creeping onto his cheeks. She leaned closer, closer, until she tossed it into his face.

Ash high-fived Keith, who was grinning from ear-to-ear.

Lance was about to knock on the door, until he heard Ash's voice inside.

Is she talking to someone? He thought. He pressed his ear against the door, which he instantly regretted. His heart melted.

Lance heard her singing, but couldn't make out the words, only incoherent hums.

He pressed his hand on the handprint, and surprisingly the door opened. He stepped inside cautiously, not knowing what Ash's reaction would be.

He looked around her room, it being quite different from the other Paladin's. The tiles were black instead of white, their seal being a glowing purple instead of blue.

He looked at the posters on her walls. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Hobbit, portraits of wolves, and other random scattered stuff of bands like Panic! At the Disco and Set it Off.

She's a little emo, huh, he thought, chuckling to himself. Lance spotted Ash, sitting on her bed, headphones covering her ears, surrounded by a tablet, a laptop, her phone, and another laptop.

Ash began to hum again, catching Lance's attention. He immediately recognized the song, but was confused. The posters on her walls indicated she enjoyed a bit more hard core music, but her tune was soft and sweet.

Lance leaned himself against the wall next to Ash's bed, still being unnoticed by her. He sighed, thinking about his situation.

Ash was distrusting of males besides him, Keith, and Shiro since what happened the day Lance and her met.

He had no idea why she didn't make a big deal about cuddling with Keith every-other night, especially when they weren't in a relationship. He wondered what her reaction would be if someone were to ask her to be in a relationship.

The song must've ended, because Ash's humming stopped, with her letting out a sad sigh. Lance continued to think to himself.

Had she had her first kiss yet? Has she ever been in a relationship? How would it feel to-

His thoughts were cut off as Ash finally used her singing voice.

"Wait a second let me catch my breath," she sang quietly as she continued to type on her computer. Lance whipped his gaze over to her.

"Remind me how it feels to hear your voice
Your lips are movin', I can't hear a thing
Livin' life as if we had a choice
Anywhere, anytime
I would do anything for you
Anything for you
Yesterday got away
Melodies stuck inside your head
A song in every breath
Sing me to sleep now
Sing me to sleep
Won't you sing me to sleep now?
Sing me to sleep

Lance cleared his throat nervously as he stood up, and grabbed the extra pair of headphones on the bed. He placed them over his ears, and sat next to Ash.

Confusedly, Ash gazed at him, and slid back one of the ear-cuffs to listen to him. Ash's eyes widened in surprise as Lance began singing the second verse of the song.

"Remember me now, time cannot erase
I can hear your whispers in my mind
I've become what you cannot embrace
Our memory will be my lullaby"

Lance looked expectantly at Ash, a small smile invading his lips. Nervously, she joined him for the chorus.

"Sing me to sleep now
Sing me to sleep
Won't you sing me to sleep now?
Sing me to sleep
A-anytime
I would do
Time away
Yesterday-day
A-anytime
I would do
Time away
Yesterday-day"

The song stopped as the two slowly removed their headphones. A comfortable silence engulfed them, both still not sure what had just happened.

"I-I, didn't know you sang," She stuttered, her gaze turning back to the laptop. Lance shrugged and avoided eye contact.

"I didn't know you sang either," he said calmly. Ash looked at her clock, yawning.

10:11 P.M. it read. Ash let out another tired yawn, and leaned against Lance's shoulder, grabbing onto his arm.

He tensed up at first, but reluctantly set her on her pillow, and closed her laptops. He gathered her electronics together and set them on the shelf behind her bed.

A drawing she'd been working on on her tablet caught his eye. He carefully picked up the tablet, gazing at the drawing.

So she does want a relationship? He questioned to himself. The drawing was of two people, a character that suspiciously looked like Ash, and a male silhouette.

The silhouette had engulfed the female in a protective hug, the character that looked like Ash hugging back.

Lance sighed to himself as he set the tablet back down. With a soft smile he looked down at Ash's sleeping figure.

He exited the room, the door closely quietly behind him, as he made his way down the hall to his room.
