Ash entered Lance's room, to see his back facing her. A screen sat in front of him, a controller in his hand.
She tossed the last of her cookie into her mouth and made her way over to him, taking a seat beside him. He seemed upset about something.
"You alright?" She whispered, trying to calm the formerly blue, now red paladin. He glanced at her briefly before turning his attention back to the screen, a small grunt escaping his lips.
"So, now that Matt's back, what's going to happen?" He questioned, finally pausing his game. Sorrow filled his gaze, as Ash gazed back confusedly.
"What do you mean?"
"Y'know, our late-night cuddles, Keith, the fact that he's leaving... even though it was only once, I could get used waking up to that face of yours," he whispered. Ash felt a small heat rise to her cheeks, as she noticed the same happen to Lance. She forced herself to calm down, and avoid eye contact.
"Matt and I decided to wait until after the war before we decide what's happening with our relationship. It's been so long, and he realizes now that I'm not particularly the same person. Despite me being thousands of lightyears away, those girls at the Garrison still broke me, and I still haven't particularly recovered," was Ash's reply. "He seems to want to help but... I don't want him to chase after the person that was once inside me. I still love him, enough to the point where I'm willing to again be the girl he once loved."
Lance was at a loss for words. Ash's white hair stood out in the dark room, her maroon sweater still stained with all of the tears she's shed in the past week, probably more then she's shed all of her life.
Lance could only offer her a sad smile, and hand her a controller. She gratefully took it, and elbowed Lance playfully in the ribcage.

"Whoever it is we have to help," Allura said. Ash again felt left out. Not being a paladin, or having any armor, nor having any authority over anyone, she was simply wasting away on the ship.
"I don't like it, we should be gathering intel, not diving into unknown battles," Shiro responded. Pidge suggested they check it out, claiming she had been working on being able to give Voltron with cloaking abilities.
"Let's try it," Shiro said. An idea sparked into Ash's brain, and she watched impatiently as the paladins went to their lions. As soon as they were out of sight, she sprinted to Keith's old room, and entered hastily.
"Cmon..." she muttered to herself, her hands tracing the back wall tiles. Eventually, she found a tile that pressed in, and the back wall began to slide apart.
Within the wall was Keith's hovering craft that they used to break Shiro out of the Garrison hospital.
"Is this thing really ready to take on space?" She asked herself, approaching it carefully and grazing her hands against the side.
"Nope," she chuckled to herself, thinking of Keith. She grabbed the helmet sitting on the handle, and fiddled with the communication piece.
She finally found a small entrance for a chip to be inserted. She pulled the chip from earlier out of her pocket and hesitantly plugged it into the slot. A smile came across her face as the voices of the paladins came through to her.
Placing the helmet on her head, she sat in the seat of the small aircraft. She pressed the airlock button, the craft being shot out into the void.
She spotted the lions, and flicked on all the switches, blue screens illuminating in front of her. The controls had juristically changed, going from an earth craft to a pilotable space craft.
Ash, having top marks in Garrison, instantly knew what to do. To her relief, the craft responded to her controls, and zoomed over to the lions.
They hastily formed Voltron, and Ash began fiddling with the small tuners on the side of the helmet, trying to make it so she was audible to them.
"Hello? Voltron?" She called quietly, waiting for a response.
"Ash? But you don't have control to consol!" Came Pidges reply. Ash chuckled to herself.
"Don't need it," she said. She pushed the craft into speed, coming up next to Voltron. She heard the paladin's shocked gasps as they noticed her flying beside them.
"Ash! Are you crazy, you don't have any armor, or any coverage!" Came Shiro's voice. "Go back to the castle, now!"
"Shiro! I can do this. I'm done being a sitting duck while you're all out here, risking your lives," She retaliated. There was no response.
"Please, this is what I'm good at," she pleaded.
"Fine.. just don't get yourself killed." Was his only reply. Ash grinned to herself, easily keeping in with speed next to Voltron.
"Activating cloaking," came Matt's voice. Voltron disappeared from view, but she could still sense their presence.
"It's Gulra on Gulra! Zargon is attacking Lotor, they must be fighting for the throne!" Came Pidge's voice. Ash picked up her speed, no longer feeling Voltron's presence beside her, indicating she had out-flown them.
"Ash! Fall back, now!" Came Shiro's voice in her ear. She reached up to the second tuning button on her helmet, and switched off the noise.
The Galra began firing their lasers, large beams of purple, making it hard for Ash to maneuver around them.
They began firing at Voltron, their cloaking had been removed. Ash tuned back in.
"Hunk! Use your bayard!" Shiro called out. Ash watched as a large, yellow canon formed on the shoulder of Voltron and began firing at the Gulra's ships, managing to take a few out.
Cmon Ash, think. What would Keith leave as a weapon? She asked herself. She looked over the control panel, finally spotting a small, red button.
Bingo, she pressed it, and watched as a canon formed on the front of the craft, a shooting screen appearing in front of her.
She was able to take down a few of the smaller Galra fleets, but it seemed that for every one she took down, ten more appeared.
"That'll hold em! Let's get out of here!" Shiro's voice rang in Ash's ear. Ash swiveled her craft around, and headed back into the castle after the red lion as Voltron separated.
Ash parked her craft off to the side, and dismounted. She had barely lifted her helmet off of her head when she felt a pair of arms enclose her from behind, causing her to drop the red helmet on the floor.
"Thank god your okay! Don't ever do that again!" Lance. Ash chuckled to herself as Lance finally set her down, her feet against the ground.
"Lance, you don't have to worry about me all the time," she sighed, picking up her helmet from the floor and hooking it on the handlebars. She turned back to Lance, who had a disbelieving look on his face.
"I'm not as weak as you think I am," she whispered. Lance avoided eye contact, and instead looked at the ground. Ash gave him one last glance before letting her hand remove itself from the craft, and she exited the room, her footsteps echoing off of the walls in the large area.
