LANCE PERSPECTIVE

"They were a distraction," Pidge said, his chesnut hair collecting the little illumination of the stars.

"For him," he finished, looking through his binoculars. My face fell. I snatched the binoculars from Pidge and peered in them myself. Eventually, my eyes landed on certain raven locks that belonged to a certain someone.

"Ugh, no way!" I exclaimed to no-one in particular as Pidge took the binoculars back. He gazed through them one more time, back to the location of where they were keeping someone prisoner.

"He's not alone either," Pidge stated solemnly, handing the binoculars back over to me. Hesitantly I brought them to my eyes and zoomed in. There, I saw Keith with his arm slung around a girl's waist. Looking closer, I noticed her features. She had a pale complexion, with a few freckles dotting her face. Her hair was mostly white, besides her roots, which matched her chocolate eyes and were peaking out of her black beanie. Her two-toned hair stuck out in the night. Getting a closer look at her facial features, I finally recognized her.

"No way! He's stealing my glory and-" my sentence was cut off by another distraction explosion. I threw the binoculars back into Pidge's hands as a flung myself off the roof, onto a nearby dune.

"Who?" Hunk and Pidge called out confusedly.

"Keith!" I yelled in response, as I continued to run down the dune. Footsteps further behind me signified Pidge and Hunk began chasing after me.

3RD PERSPECTIVE

"Ready?" Keith whispered, slinging his arm loosely around Ash's waist. The silence was his answer, as he glanced at her face and saw her eyes narrowed in determination.

He sent her forward. Ash being lighter, therefor stealthier, made for a better infiltration. She pressed herself up against the door frame, and gave Keith a small nod. He returned the nod, signifying the plan in motion.

She slammed her hand on the hand print, the door flying open as she did so. Keith watched from behind the rock, waiting for the guards to come out. Once they did so, Ash turned into the building, only to be met with the scientists.

"W-what? How did you get in!" one shouted from behind his mask. Her eyes drifted briefly to the man latched down onto the table. Anger filled her body, as she removed her small throwing knives from her back pocket and launched them at the scientists. The knives pinned them to the wall by their clothing.

"Lights out," she muttered, throwing a tube onto the ground in front of them. After a few seconds, the tube released a powder that found itself flying into their noses. Almost instantly, they fell asleep.

Ash removed her knife from her pocket and began to cut through the ropes that held the man down. The door slid open, and Ash looked worriedly up, only to have worry turn to relief as Keith entered.

He ran over and removed his knife from his holder, and began helping her cut through the ropes. Sooner than later, all the ropes had been cut. Ash helped Keith sling the older man onto his shoulder.

"We gotta get him outta here," he said between breaths. The man was significantly bigger, it proved to be a challenge for Keith to hold him up on his own.

As Ash was about to fling the other arm over her shoulders, she was knocked out of the way by a blur of beige. Letting out a scoff, she watched as the boy, around her and Keith's age, began arguing with Keith.

"Nuh-uh, we saw it first!" He said, slinging the mans other arm around his shoulder. Keith gave him a side-glare.

"Who are you?" he questioned, raising an eyebrow. The Cuban boy seemed offended.

"The names Lance," he said blinking a few times. Keith face was still struck with confusion as Ash tried to hold back her laughter.

"I went to Garrison," he continued. Keith's face finally morphed into, certainly not recognition, but something else other than confusion.

"Oh, uh, are you an engineer?" He questioned, trying to spark a memory.

"No, I'm a pilot!" The dark-skinned boy retaliated. Ash couldn't get a good look at his face, but his voice certainly sounded familiar.

"We were like rivals! Y'know, Lance and Keith, neck and neck?" At this comment, both Ash's and Keith's faces turned paler than they already were.

"Oh wait I remember you, your a cargo pilot. And you were one of Ash's friends."

"Uh, no, I'm a fighter class now. And yes now that you-" he cut himself off, scanning the room. His eyes eventually landed on Ash, as a dramatic smile crept onto his face.

"Oh Ashy! I-" he was again cut off, but this time by Ash's blade. His eyes widened as he looked at her confusedly.

"Call me Ashy one more time, I dare you," She said with hatred. Keith sniggered to himself, knowing she didn't have the guts to actually harm another human, but rather at the fact that Lance didn't know that.

Ash stepped by the now petrified boy, and slung Shiro's free arm around her shoulders.

"Uh Guys, they're coming back, and they don't look happy!" Came a voice from outside. As fast as they could with the extra weight, Ash and Keith made their way back over to their device.

"Is this thing big enough for all of us?" The boy in the green shirt questioned.

"No," Keith responded harshly. Ash shielded her eyes as the glowing light came closer. She shoved the helmet back on her head, over her beanie, and laced her arms around Keith's torso.

Keith sent the motorcycle into drive, as it took off. Ash ignored the comments from the extra passengers, and instead buried her face into Keith's jacket, attempting to shield herself from the wind.

"Can't this thing go any faster?" Lance cried desperately.

"We could always throw out some nonchalant weight!" Was Ash's witty reply. She smirked to herself as she waited for Lance to realize exactly what she said.

"Oh, nope, that was an insult," he said sulkily. Ash peered her eyes over Keith's shoulder, to get a small view of what was ahead.

"Big man, lean left!" He called. Ash scrambled to adjust her grip on Keith's torso, the sudden shift in direction causing her to let out a gasp of shock. The cars with the glowing lights continued to pursue them.

"Big man, lean right!" He called again. Ash held tightly onto not just Keith, but his jacket as well. Again she felt the shift in weight, and sucked in a breath as to not let out a scream of terror such as the other passengers.

With her small view, Ash was able to see a cliff up ahead. She removed her arms from Keith's torso, and instead wrapped them around his shoulders, hoping it would give her a better chance to stay on.

The motorcycle only picked up speed despite the cries of protest from the Garrison Students. It flung itself off of the cliff, but as it landed its jets quickly shifted to the bottom, giving it a soft landing.

The jets place themselves back into their normal position as the cars came to a halt at the edge of the sharp dune.
