They'd made it. Earth. Home. Family and friends. There were few other implications; but what mattered was that they were here now.
The cars pulled into the garrison; they were brought to one of the courtyards. The cars pulled to a halt in front of the many groups.
The door slid open- Pidge leapt out immediately into her mother's arms. Lance ran to his family. He scooped up his niece and nephew and hugged them; (can I be one of those children-) the rest of his family came over and swarmed him, embracing him into a large hug.
Keith stepped out after; Ash laying in his arms, still unconscious. Gasps filled the courtyard as they took in this strange girl. Long, blue-grey wolf ears, and a large tail to match. Her hair was unnaturally long, and colored a bright red. The armor she bore- it was of that the captures that had taken their home planet.
"They've brought a Galra!" One woman squealed, looking at her armor. It was from Lance's group. He stood up and attempted to calm everyone down.
"She's not a Galra." He assured them.
Keith approached Sam. He gestured towards the sleeping figure in his arms.
"She was taken out by a Druid. Nobody really knows what was done to her exactly, not even the Alteans. Can you help?" He asked. Sam nodded. He gestured towards the cadettes that had brought them here; more specifically James. Memories crammed Keith's head.
"They can help you," he said. Keith reluctantly walked over to James, his grip on Ash becoming firmer, but still gentle.
"She needs help. A Druid did something to her," he explained. James nodded. He held out his arms. Keith, still bitter about what happened, extremely reluctantly handed her over.
James immediately turned heel and carried Ash to the operation room; of course not knowing it was Ash due to her altered state of being. The light blue scar that ran across her face added into the tough recognition.

Light. Light, that was what flooded Ash's gaze. Blind. Blinding is what it was. Hurt... neck, pain. Pain in her neck. That's what she felt. Weak... tired... many many things. Scrambled thoughts. Lance, Keith. Paladins. Voltron. Druid..? Attack. The attack. The strange planet. The blades? Earth? Location? Where was she? Her vision cleared. She was in a room; her gaze was stuck forward. So, she had to say the only words that would form.
"Keith... Lance. Keith and Lance?" Without seeing anything, she knew plenty of gazed turned to her. She felt hands touch hers softly, and her shoulders. She finally mustered enough strength to look to her left and right. Lance and Keith stood on either side of her.
"Love..." She rasped. Her mind still wasn't in order to form proper sentences; Sam had warned them of this. Her thoughts would be scrambled for a few hours.
Ash managed to lift her shaky hands and place them delicately on each of their cheeks. Soft smiled came across their face.
"Us too," they sighed.

Ash traced Adam's photo slowly. Hundreds of photos of other fallen soldiers surrounded his. But she didn't notice them.
Shock was the only expression on her face. She brought her hands up to cover her mouth. Muffled sobs filled the room.
Ash tried closing her eyes to stop the flow of tears, but they pushed passed her eyelids and spilled onto her cheeks.
She crumbled to the floor, her cries broke through her hands as she moved them towards the side of her face.
"No, no, no..." she kept repeating. She'd give anything for him to still be here. For him to just appear behind her and tell her everything will be okay.
But as soon as the hope had come, it'd vanished. She knew, that it wouldn't happen. No matter how much she hoped. It just wouldn't.
She felt a presence behind her, but didn't look. A hand was placed on her shoulder as whoever it was knelt down.
"Ash.." It was Keith. She turned to him, the tears continuing to roll down her pale cheeks. She quickly crawled into his arms and continued her breakdown.
"I-I... n-never... I never got to say goodbye," she stuttered through the tears. Keith rubbed her back soothingly.
"I know... I know.." he muttered comfortingly in her ear, allowing her to cry on his shoulder.
