The paladins, coran, Ash, and Romelle all stood and gazed around at the amazing scenery. Ash backed up, trying to gain a better view point. She came into contact with someone. She was about to slip, but a pair of hands caught her. Ash looked up to see Lance softly smiling down at her.

"S-sorry," she half whispered. It seemed lately that whenever the two would collide, it was more awkward than it was before. The two treaded carefully around eachother, giggled more often, shared more secretive smiles.

"Don't be sorry," he said softly, gazing down at her. He closed one eye and stuck out his tongue, causing Ash to blush briefly. She turned her gaze ahead, and was about to move, but Lance's hands were planted firmly on her hips, preventing her from walking away.

He leaned down and nestled his face into the crook of her neck, sighing softly. Ash tensed at first, but soon melted into his touch. The two slowly descended to a sitting position, the warm air and soft breeze calming them as the rest of the group experienced the scenery.

The general was yelling at Keith for stepping out of line during the drill. They all stood in a close formation, Ash next to Keith. As the general got closer to Keith, she unknowingly took her hand and slipped it onto Keith's wrist, nervous.
Keith was unphased despite the generals discipline. The general walked away, Shiro, and one other veteran following behind closely. James turned towards Keith, angry.
"Thanks a lot," he muttered sarcastically. Keith rolled his eyes before tugging Ash out of James' view, and focusing on her as he replied.
"No problem." Keith began making gestures about James, out of his view, to Ash, causing her to giggle.
"We all know the only reason you're here is because of Shiro," he continued to prod. Keith turned to him, annoyed and fed up.
"I can out fly anyone in this building," he said shortly, before turning to Ash. Ash tugged on his sleeve worriedly and gestured towards the door, wanting to get him out before anything happened.
Keith nodded and glanced towards the door as well. Ash was about to bring him towards the door, until James opened his mouth again.
"Oh yeah? Is that what mommy and daddy told you before they upped and abandoned you?" He asked. Ash watched as Keith's hands balled into fists. He was about to turn towards James, but Ash grabbed his face and kept his attention on her.
"I'm right here, stay calm," she said soothingly. Keith closed his eyes and nodded. They began making their way to the door again.
"I see you need your girlfriend to do everything for you," he snickered. This time they both stopped in their tracks. Ash turned towards him, Keith doing the same.
"I'd appreciate the absence of the labels, but thanks anyways," Keith snapped. James took a few steps forwards.
"I'm not his girlfriend James, please don't call me it." Ash was the type of person to try and solve conflicts with kindness. She pushed herself in-between Keith and James and offered a terrified smile to both of them.
"Why can't you guys just get along? It's not hard, you're both stubborn, great pilots, lots in common," she began, her smile beginning to shake.
The two rolled their eyes at her suggestion. Keith moved Ash out of  the way as him and James' argument became heated.
   Ash walked up behind James.
"If she's not your girlfriend, I guess you wouldn't mind if I did this!" James exclaimed. He turned to Ash, and punched her hard. Hard enough to knock her to the floor. Everyone was shocked for a minute.
Ash sat up, her nose was bleeding, and her eye was beginning to swell. A large bruise was beginning to form on her nose; it was most likely broken. Ash reached up to cradle her nose, tears beginning to well in her eyes from both the shock and pain. Ash was a few years younger than the students at garrison, factoring into the fact that the punch did much more damage.
Lance came rushing over and slid on his knees to Ash. He carefully took ahold of her hand and removed it from her nose. He knew as well it was broken; it was swollen and slightly jerked to one side.
"DUDE! What the hell is wrong with you?" He exclaimed towards James. James, only now realizing just what he'd done, widens his eyes. He didn't mean to hit her that hard. In reality; he didn't even mean to punch her. To prove a point to Keith, he was going to kiss her. But that plan all but flopped. Ash had apparently been standing closer to James then he thought.
"HER NOSE IS BROKEN!" Lance exclaimed again. James attempted to step forward, but Ash slid back, and Keith stepped in between them. Keith quickly punched James to the floor, shouting. He went in for another punch, but the general grabbed him and began tugging him out of the room. Keith was screaming at James over the generals shoulder.
"YOULL PAY! DONT YOU EVER TOUCH HER AGAIN! ILL MAKE SURE-" his voice trailed off as he was forced out of the room.
Shiro had turned to see what the commotion was about. His eyes immediately travelled to Ash, sitting on the floor. Her nose was swollen, and turning a purple color. Her nose was also bleeding; and he also noticed her swollen eye.
He dropped what he was doing and sprinted over, sliding to Ash in a similar way as Lance had done.
"Shiro," she breathed. She shifted in her position slightly to reach up and clutch Shiro's sleeve desperately; she was beginning to loose consciousness.
"Lance, what happened?" Shiro demanded, turning to the Cuban boy. Lance gazed around in fear, not knowing exactly what went down.
"I-I, I dunno! Keith and James were fighting as always, but I guess Ash got in the middle of it? James just turned around and right hooked her!" He exclaimed.
Shiro's eyes widened as Ash officially lost consciousness.
"Lance, make sure she gets to the infirmary," he commanded. Lance nodded and called Hunk over. The two carefully lifted her up and rushed her out of the room.
