Chapter 24 Sarah’s POV

I looked over at Cameron. 

“Why is he here?  And why is he sucking faces with some chick?”  I asked.

“I don’t know!” 

“Find out!  No don’t go over there.  Give me your phone.”

He handed me his phone.

‘Hey Cameron where are you dude?  You left right after we got food.  You missed it.’

I saw Cameron take a break for kissing the girl.

“I know her!”

“You do…”  Dan said hesitantly.

“She is always at concerts.”

“I do remember her now.”

“She was wearing a bright green shirt at the last concert.”

“Why do you know that?”

“Ummm.  Well.  I- uh I though her top was cute.”

He raised his eyebrow at me.

“Next in line.” The casher called.

We placed our orders and waited for them to be ready.

I went and picked out a table, as far away from Cameron as I could get, and waited for Danny.

“How much was it?” I asked.

“I’m not telling.”

“Danny.”

“No it was my idea I will be the one to pay.”

“Fine.” I said.

“I want a cat.”

“You are a cat Danny.”

“No I mean a real cat.  Let’s get a cat.”

“When?”

“Now.”

“This cat will be coming from?” I asked.

“The store.”

“Okay and where will we be keeping this cat form the store?”

“In the van on the bus sometimes we could let her come in the venue.”

“Are you crazy?”  I asked.

“I just might be.”

“Then let’s get a cat.”

We made it mostly thru our date without Cameron and his friend noticing us.

“Hey Sierra, Come here.”  Cameron said.

The girl came over.

“Hi I’m Sierra.”  She extended her hand.

“Sarah.” I replied shaking it.

“Danny.”

“I didn’t know you guys were coming here.”  Cameron said.

“We didn’t know you were coming here.”  I said back.

“Next time we should all hang out.” Danny said.

Cameron and I both shot him a death glare.  I found that kind of odd.

“We should!”  Sierra said.

“We have to go.  See you later.”  Cameron said.

“Bye.” I replied.

“Are you okay?”  Danny asked.

“Let’s just get our cat and go back home.”

“You do realize home is a small van right?”

“Yes I know.  Now lead the way!”  I said.

He laughed and grabbed my hand.   

I like when he holds my hand.

“I like holding your hand to.”

“What?”  I asked.

“You were thinking out loud.”

“Oh.”  I said, blushing and looking down.

“Don’t look down.  No one can see that beautiful face when you do.  Maybe you should look down I don’t want to share you.”  He teased.

“I don’t want to share you either.”

I kissed him.  There was nothing to stop it this time.

“I’m going to kill Cameron for not letting me have that kiss earlier.” Danny said.

“Don’t hurt the kid.”

“We are here.”

He was right.  Above us hung a sign for ‘Al’s Pet Store’.

“Come on.”  I said.

We went inside and right back to the cat section.

“May I help you?” a teenage girl in a uniform asked.

“We are just looking for now.  We will call you when we are ready.”  Danny said.

“Okay.  My name in Lena by the way.”

“Danny.”  I tapped his soldier.

“Yes?”

“Look.”  I pointed down to his shoes.

A little grey kitten was playing with his laces.  He bent down.

“Hi little guy.  How are you?”

“Meow.”

“Sarah.  I was talking to the cat.”

I bent down next to him.  The cat ran over to me.  I picked him up and he started licking my arm.

“I like him.  Danny you might have some compotation.”

“He is our not just yours.” Danny said.

“I know.  But still I love him.”

We walked over to Lena.

“Can we get him?”  Danny asked.

“He has just finished all requirements so yes.  He is 5 months old and should only get a little bigger.  What are you going to name him?”

Danny looked at me.

“Martin.  No Zazzels.  I like Zazzles.” I said.

She put Zazzles in a cage type thing and handed it to us.

“Thanks.”  Danny said as we walked out of the store with our new cat.

“I like his name.”  Danny said.

“Me too.”

“Well I guessed that when you go all excited to name him.”

“He’s our baby.  Of course I’m excited.”
