Chapter 41 Tori’s POV

“Where were we?  Before the car, phone call, hospital.  Before all that.”

“We were sitting in the middle of nowhere.” I said.

Zach grabbed my hands.  “That’s what I was thinking.

“I don’t want to go there.”

I had no clue what Zach had planned for that day, but o know I didn’t want to find out.

“But what if I promise it will be different.  You will remember it forever.”

“I will remember that forever.” I said.

“This time it will be better.  I promise.”

I looked into soft blue eyes.

“One more chance.” I said.

“That’s all I need.”

He pecked my cheek then ran off.  I looked at the clock.  4:30  I had just fallen asleep an hour ago and was not ready to be awake.

Zach came back.  He was dressed for the day.

“Here put thus on.” He handed me a dress.

“What?”

“Just put it on.  Please.”

I went into the bathroom and slid into the yellow dress.

I ran my fingers threw my hair and walked out.

“I’m done.” I said.

Zach turned around and I swear his mouth dropped.

“Are you okay?” I asked, rushing over to him.

“I-I’m fine.” He said.

“Good.”

I pushed the few strands of hair out of his face.

“We have to go or we will be late.” He said.

“There is a time limit?” I asked.

“Yes.”

I had no clue where he was taking me.

He grabbed my hand and quietly walked out of the house.

We walked for a few minutes. Zach stopped. We were at the same beach as last night.

“We are here.” He said.

The beach was empty. Zach led me over to one of the few tables.

There were a bunch of roses on the table.

“Zach what-“

“One moment.” He said.

He knelled down in the sand.

He was still holding my hand but with his free hand reached into his pocket and pulled out a little black box.

“Tori, I know we just started going out, but I was stupid to wait.  Every day for the past 5 years I thought about you.  I yelled at myself for never asking you out.  I finally did and realized I never wanted to lose you.  I want to be with you for the rest of my life.  Will you marry me?”

I could feel the tears.  Zach had just proposed.

SAY SOMETHING TORI!

“Yes.” I said.

Zach slid the ring on my finger and stood up.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist.

I kissed him.

The sun was rising.  Zach was right.  Today will be a day I will never forget.

Zach picked me up and spun around.

He had a huge smile and I was sure I did too.

I sat down in the sand and Zach sat down beside me.

“She said yes.  We are going to get married.”  He whispered.

I shook my head and laughed a little.

We watched the sun come up.

Suddenly I felt a bunch of people fall on Zach and I.

I looked up and saw everyone on top me us.

“Getting smushed.” I said.

“Sorry.” Everyone said getting up.

Sarah came over and showed me a camera.

“I’m thinking one of these for the wedding invitations.”  She flipped threw a few pictures.

All of Zach and I from this morning.

“We can figure that out later.  For now I just want to be with me wife-to-be.” Zach said, wrapping his arms around me.

I kissed Zach.

“Get a room!” the girls yelled while the boys yelled “Get it!”

I shook my head and ignored them.

“Let them have their fun and we can have ours.” Zach said.

We walked a little away from them and sat down in the sand again.

“This was better than the last time.” Zach said.

“The last time being the other day?” I asked.

“Yes.” He kissed my cheek.

“I say it went perfectly.”
