As I slammed the door shut, I wish I could I could shut the door of Alex's feelings as easily. Not just is it closing, my thoughts are jumbling making it difficult for me to grasp anything. But I know one thing for sure that having Alex in life is something I never want to leave behind.
The ease at which I am is entirely on a different level. My body is released not stiff and tense.
My past is locked away and it is not swallowing me into it.
Yes.
Having Alex in life is addictive and I can completely imagine myself becoming his friend.
A familiar tune drags me out of my haze, I drum my fingers against my thigh.
I turn my head towards Alex to see him also tapping his fingers on the wheel.
It makes me smile inside."You like Sam Smith?"
"Yes." He simply says that and remains silent.
He finds a parking slot near my apartment and parks.
"Are you ready?"
I just nod and start to my apartment.

"Okay. This is the problem where I officially suck the most."
I blush furiously at my selected words.
"I should be the one to judge not you."
He replies, not teasing me for my words.

I try to solve the problem not once but twice and still fail, I drop the pen on the book and flop on my bed.

I raise my hand stopping him in the mid-sentence.
"English please and do explain each step in a non-nerd style," I mutter sweetly.
Alex chuckles and continues.
"First, you have to apply Natural logarithm on both sides of the equation..... .. ... yes, yes like that. .... Now, differentiate on both the sides... and the chain rule." Alex guides.
"Hallelujah." There is a gleam of victory in his eyes.
"Okay. Wow." I completely shocked to see that I have solved the problem.
"You are way better than Mr. Jensen. Now all I need to do is practice problems related to this one and then I need overall practice and then I am ready for the exam."
Before I can do anything else, my stomach grumbles m. I smile sheepishly at Alex.
"Or maybe it is better to meet something before we continue," Alex suggests.
"I will not say no to that."
I got up from the bed and remove my phone from charging.
"Do you like Chinese?"
"Yes."
"What do you want?" I ask him while dialing the nearest Chinese restaurant number.
