I run with a smile on my face. My skin's hot from the direct sunlight, my sweats running down my forehead and soak on my shirt but that didn't stop me from running. I look behind and saw my father running after me. My mother's sitting at a distance, watching us.
It was a picture perfect moment for my happy family. Me, a little kid who runs around as if the world was so big and my father chasing after me pretending he's a slow runner and my mom with her beautiful smile.
It was perfect. But because they said nothing's perfect, it's now ruined.
I struggle to get up. Nagpaikot ikot pa ako sa kinahihigaan ko, but suddenly hault when I heard someone cough from the corner of my room and said goodmorning.
"As far as I could remember, you did accept my offer to work on a snackhouse. So get up your butt and start freshening dahil malapit na tayong malate." Seryosong pagkasabi nito.
I suddenly remember her doing this to me too. She's the one who wakes me up on my bed whenever my lazy ass won't budge to get up for school.
I smile on my thought. How I miss those days.
It's alright I understand. Now go and take a bath, sa baba na lang ako maghihintay." Sagot ni mama.
I slowly nodded.
Indeed I really look like my mom. And the same figure too. Magmumukha kaming kambal kapag pinagtabi.
Bumaba na ako dala dala ang uniform ko para sa snackhouse only to see Earth sitting comfortably on the red couch. Nakadekwatro itong nakaupo at may shades pa.
Tahimik lamang kami. Though malapit lang naman ang sakayan but Earth for I know na likas na madaldal ay tahimik din ata ngayon.
My mom was first to broke the silence.
"What's with the shades?"Napatango naman ako. Oo nga what's with the shades?
