Venus

A minute had passed but Earth's gaze still did not change. I called his name twice but it seems like he did not hear even though we are just foot apart. I even grab his sleeves but he won't budge. Pain is visible on his eyes.

I took a few steps in front of him and let his gaze locked on mine but his just too focused to the subject ahead of us.

The viens are even visible on his arms as he clenched his fist hard.

Wala na akong choice kundi lumapit at hawakan ang mukha niya. Natauhan siya at napatingin ng diretso sa aking mga mata. Agad napalis ang kahinaang pinakita niya kanina at bumalik ang blankong mga mata. Walang emosyon. Tila pilit ikinukubli ang selos na tunay na nadama.

"If it's painful to watch just divert your gaze. If it's too much just lower your eyes to mine. I'll be here," I assure him.

He pursed his lips and did not say anything. Nilingon ko ang kinaroroonan nila mama at papa my eyes widen when I saw what's about to happen. They're going to kiss!

I immediately use my palm to cover Earth's eyes. The bracelet hanged in there. I'm not sure if he see's it too, pero nakumpirma kong nakita niya dahil biglang nabasa ang aking kamay na nakatakip sa kaniyang mga mata. His tears moves freely down his cheeks.

My heart melts seeing him like this. It's like we are connected with each other. It's like I was born and be on this lifetime to feel the pain his feeling.

I let few more minutes to pass before letting my hand drop to my side. His eyes are still closed when I get my hand. A streak of tears were on his cheeks.

Wala na sila mama at papa. They might have gotten inside the house already at hindi naman nila kami nakita.

He sniffed as he open his bloodshot eyes. I just stood and look at him. Hindi niya alam kung anong ikikilos sa harap ko at tila nahihiya siya sa inakto niya kanina at hindi na makatingin ng diretso sa akin.

"I'm not going to ask kung okay ka lang ba dahil alam ko at klarong klaro na hindi," I said to him. Napaayos naman siya ng tayo. He sniffed again like a kid who lost a candy. I want to compliment how cute he is but the moment is not right.

I drag his arm and walked continously passing the santan's and streetlight where Mama and Papa had stood recently.

"Sa-sandali," at huminto siya dahilan para mapahinto rin ako . "Lumampas na tayo sa inyo," mahina niyang saad.

I did not answer and began dragging him again. Hindi na siya kumibo. I traced the familiar street that I have been once ng sundan ko si Earth.

Nakarating kami sa tulay. The ambiance I experienced last time is still there like it's always present and ready to comfort every sad passing soul any moment.

I pushed him lightly on the middle.

"Nakikita mo 'yan?" I asked him pointing at the wide see.

Tinignan muna niya ako bago sumagot. "Dagat?"

"Eh iyon?" I point to the stars.

"Mga bituin?" He answered. "Anong gusto mong sabihin?"

I sighed, "What I wanted to say is, maraming isda sa dagat at marami ring mas makinang na mga bituin,"

"Pero paano kung siya lang ang pinakamakislap na bituin na nakita ko?" He said.

Tinapik ko ang balikat niya. "It means you need to look further,"
