The sound of someone walking across gravel wakes me up. I lift my head up from Taehyung 's chest and look around. I see Nate's dark figure pass the cart door and I stand up quietly, trying not to wake up Taehyung.

Just I'm about to jump from the cart when I hear Taehyung whisper, "Where are you going Celeste?"

"Nate is sneaking around and I don't trust it. I'm going to follow."

Taehyung stretches his arms and yawns, then stands up. "I'm coming with you" He says as he walks over to my side.

"No. Im going alone."

He stares into my eyes."Im going with you Celeste. You can't stop me."

I give in and accept that we both were going to follow. We jump out of the cart and follow Nate from a distance. We walk for a good few miles without him noticing us. There's a huge building ahead of us that doesn't give me a good feeling.

Nate pulls out his phone and I hear him mumble into it. "Hey, I'm here. Open up."

The tall gates in front of the building slowly pull open. A tall man steps out and greets Nate. They walk through the gate and they close slowly. Taehyung and I step closer to the gate.

"Who was that?" I ask.

Taehyung studies the doors and shrugs. Suddenly, the gates open again and a group of armed men come out and grab me and Taehyung, dragging us through the entrance. There was no point in fighting since we had no weapons to fight with, so we hesitantly let them take us to avoid being shot. The gate doors close behind us, shutting us in. Nate and the tall figure stand in front of the building facing us. The men bring us closer to them and Nate smiles widely.

"You didn't think I knew you were following did you?"

Ignoring the question, I look at man next to him who has a familiar face.

"Who are you?" I ask sternly. "Or do I even need to ask. You're Kyras father. Aren't you."

He smiles. "So you know my baby girl."

"Know her? I wish I had killed her while I had the chance."

His smile turns to a glare. "Bring them inside." He says to the armed men as he keeps his stare on me.

They drag us inside, gripping our arms tightly. The man holding my arm was holding tight enough that his knuckles we're white. I roll my eyes. The inside is a lot cleaner and in one piece then the buildings I've seen for the past year. The floors are clean and look like glass, the walls that aren't windows are painted white. It looks so elegant that you would forget that there's an apocalypse in the outside world. At least until you smell it. It smells just like every other place with a rotting flesh scent that makes you want to vomit. Kyras father points at one of the two black leather couches in an open space. We are taken to them and sat down. He sits on the one across from me and Taehyung with Nate by his side. He picks up a steaming mug of tea and sips it slowly then sets it down and crosses his legs.

"Go ahead, get comfortable. It's not like we're going to kill you yet." He says, leaning back on the couch.

I sit back but Tae stays forward, keeping his eyes on Nate and Kyras dad.

"What are you even doing here Nate?" I ask.

He glances at me. "What, I couldn't come to visit my uncle?"

I stand up. "You're Kyras cousin!? And you never told us!?"

Kyras dad points a gun at me. "Sit down."

Nate leans over to him. "Marcus, it's okay. I should've been honest." He looks at me and smirks. "But then again, they wouldn't have trusted me and we wouldn't be where we are today."

"What are you both doing following him anyway?" Marcus asks.

"We were-"

"I don't want you to talk anymore." Marcus cuts me off. "Only him." He nods to Taehyung. "One word from you and you're dead. Understood?"

I go quiet and look over at Tae.

He sighs. "We were suspicious of Nate, so we followed."

Marcus chuckles "He is pretty obvious isn't he?"

Nate looks down embarrassed. Marcus laughs and smacks Nate's back. He turns to some more men standing behind him.

"Go get the others. Don't hurt them yet. I need to do testing on them."

They nod and walk away in sync, almost as if they're soldiers. My heart pounds when I hear testing. I know what he's going to do. If we don't do something, we're just going to be his next group of walking dead people.

I stand up abruptly and at are at Nate with my hands clenched. "You can't do this! What about addi!? Don't you love her!?"

There's a gunshot that makes me flinch. I expect pain or a scream or even blood, but I'm surprised when I look around and everyone is perfectly fine. It was a blank fire as a warning. I sit back down hesitantly while keeping my eyes on Nate.

He clears his throat. "I did love her, but now I've got other priorities. I don't need to worry about a hormonal woman."

"What priorities?" Taehyung asks.

Nate looks at us one at a time. "Staying alive."

Marcus stands up. "Alright, take them away. I don't want to see them until I'm ready."

He smiles and walks away as we are taken away. Taehyung and I are forced into an empty, square room. There are no windows, no furniture and the floor and walls are the same glossy white concrete. The door is shut and locked and we are left in silence.
