Name: Hrothgar Sheafson

Age at Death: 23

Year of Death: 241 AD

Gender: Male

Appearance: Hrothgar looks every inch a warrior. He is tall and broad, muscular but not so much that he sacrifices agility, and stern in physiognomy with deep-set, slate eyes and strong square jawline. His shaggy blond hair reaches down to his shoulders. The man is rarely seen without some form of armour on, even out of battle.

Personality: Hrothgar is a bloodthirsty, thrill-seeking individual, whose love of battle spills over into his personal life and provokes plenty of fist-fights through bad tempered argument. He isn't stupid, per se, but most of his intelligence can be seen in battle, where he has a natural instinct for where to go and what to do, and an almost sixth sense for enemies sneaking round his flanks. In peace time, he tends to remain quiet and let others do the talking and ordering, though he will occasionally add a serious and straight-forward remark. Hrothgar doesn't subscribe to any verbal chicanery.

Background: A warrior by birth, Hrothgar spent his childhood playing war games, his adolescence training for the real thing, and his brief adulthood, from the age of sixteen, finally realising his dreams. Until his twenty-third year, Hrothgar covered himself in glory, first as a small but integral part of many victorious armies, and then later as a commanding figure leading his troops from the front in the name of his king. A raid on an unassuming enemy village proved one battle too much for the chief, however. Caught in an ambush, his men were overwhelmed five to one, but valiant Hrothgar stood strong long after most of his troops had fled or been slain. Killing hundreds, as the legend goes, Hrothgar was only killed after huge losses for his enemy which turned the war in his clan's favour. In the end, though, his armour was pierced, and so was his heart. Hrothgar's battle-death earned him a place in Valhalla amongst other heroes, and he could not ask for a better resting place.

How they Died: See above.

Weaknesses: Poor peace-time relations, reckless.

Weapon of Choice: Two handed sword.
