Connor's POV

"I've got IED."

"What's IED?" I asked.
"Intermittent explosive disorder," It all made sense now, he was the one wrecking all the bathrooms. Gavin looked away in shame. I grabbed his left hand and with my spare I held his cheek facing away from me, I brought his face back to look at me.
"It's ok. I'm not judging you." I spoke softly. A tear fell from Gavin's eye. I gently wiped it away with my thumb.
"I don't like being like this. It happens almost every day." He said.
"I get angry about the littlest thing. I'm so fucking stupid." He finally looked me in the eyes.
"You can go Connor, I know you don't want to be with me.......... no one does." Gavin moved his hand away and waited for me to leave.
"Gavin, I don't care if you have IED."
"That's what they all say, until the third day. When they leave for someone more normal."
"Gavin, I-"
"Connor. Just go."

I saw the hurt in Gavin's eyes. It was like I felt all of the heartbreaks he'd had. For once in his life he needed to be loved. I leaned in close and our lips pressed against each other.  It didn't take long for Gavin to kiss back, it was full of passion. I put my arms around him and hugged. He rested his arms around my neck. Our lips moved perfectly in sinc, not once breaking. Gavin pulled back for air. He blushed intensely and let go of me.
"I love you Gavin." I stated.
"I- I love you too Connor."

We were watching a movie in Hank's house. We decided it'd be best if he didn't move around too much, he still might feel a bit nauseous. Gavin was curled up in a blanket that I had found, his head resting on my shoulder. Sumo leaped up on the sofa and gave slobbery kisses to Gavin, he laughed.
"So this must be the famous Sumo, maybe dogs aren't so bad after all" He said. Sumo settled with his head on Gavin's lap.
"When does Hank get home?"
"Tommorow."
"Oh, ok."
"Why?"
"I wondered if you wanted to do something tommorow, but you'll probably be on a case with Hank."
"You have a day off tommorow?"
"Fowler doesn't want a sick person in the station"

3rd person

Knock knock. Connor got up and opened the door, Niner.
"Are you feeling alright Detective?" Niner asked,
"Eh, I'm better I guess. Come sit with us Nines." He flinched at the Nickname but still sat next to Gavin, now Sumo was across Gavin and Niner's laps. Connor sat the other side of Gavin and passed him a cup of tea.
"Coffee isn't a good idea 11 at night." Connor explained. They all sat and watched the movie. It was like they had been doing it for years, like a family.

"I'll rest on the sofa," Niner spoke up once the film came to an end. Connor nodded,
"I'm guessing you'd rather take the spare room instead of Hank's." Gavin stood up and thought,
"Cole's old room?" He hesitated.
"Yes. I usually sleep in that room but you can if you want."
"I don't know, I'd rather sleep in Hank's...... I don't wanna disrespect Cole." Connor nodded and lead him to Hank's room. Before Connor left Gavin ran and embraced him
"Can't you sleep with me?" He whined.
"Ok, I just thought that would be invading your space."
"Well, not anymore"

Connor got in the covers, but Gavin was staring at a photo of Cole.
"Did you know him?" Connor curiously said.
"Yeah. Me and Hank used to be buddies. Cole was like a nephew. Or something like that."
"Why did you stop being friends?" Connor pushed.
"When the accident happened.......... I- I blamed him for it........ my stupid anger problem. That's when I got diagnosed. I didn't mean it, Hank was a great father. But I guess the death shocked me. I was in denial." Gavin also snuggled into the covers.
"Now Hank hates me. I don't blame him." Connor kissed his forhead.
"night Con,"
"Goodnight Gavin"
