The Breaking Point (SasukeXOC)

It was days later that we finally got a break. I had no idea what Sasuke chose to do with his free time, but I chose to go for a walk. I wandered around the woods for some time before becoming bored and returning to our little lake area.

Lo and behold, there sat Sasuke. His bare back facing me as he bathed in the lake.

Didn't Sakura say something about Sasuke having some sort of strange bruise after that Orochimaru guy attacked us? I wonder...

Curiously, I crept up behind him. I knelt behind him and leaned over his shoulder. True to Sakura's word, there sat a black mark. The mark held three comma-like symbols, similar to a Sharingan comma pattern, surrounded by a circle. I frowned.

"So you do have a weird bruise." I told Sasuke. With a start, Sasuke tensed up and snapped his neck towards me, our faces inches apart.

"M-Miyu! What the... what are you doing here?" his face turned pink.

"I wanted to see your bruise. You know, I haven't gotten a good look at you since before the second Chunnin Exam trial." I joked, referring to my sudden blindness during the exam.

"A good look?" he parroted, his hands sinking under the water to cover his self. Oblivious to his embarrassment, I stuck my hand in the water beside him. Sasuke stiffened up even more, if that was possible.

"Hmm," I sighed, "the water feels nice. I think I'll join you. It's been a while since I bathed." I chirped with a smile. I stood back from the side of the lake and took my shirt off. Sasuke gaped.

"W-what the...? Miyu! You can't just...! What are you doing?" I frowned, pausing in my bra and shorts.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm going to take a bath." I rolled my eyes at him. "You know Sasuke, I thought you would know what 'taking a bath' looks like. After all, you've been human all your life!"

I spoke casually as I removed my shorts. I turned away from Sasuke for a moment to fold my clothes. I heard splashing behind me and glanced back to see Sasuke standing behind me dripping wet in nothing but his shorts, his drenched body slowly soaking the article of clothing.

"You done already?" I asked as I placed my clothes neatly in a pile.

"Miyu... you can't just... you're a girl and I'm a boy!" I stood to my full height and frowned at him. His face was now a bright red and he seemed pretty flustered.

"Yeah. So?"

"You... don't you know how inappropriate it is for a boy and girl to be naked together?" his face scrunched up and the tips of his ears turned red.

Truthfully, I had no idea what he was so embarrassed about. Nao and I used to bathe together all the time. Heck, the whole pack would bathe together. Nao and I would splash around and play with Miki while the elder wolves would grumble at our disturbance. So why is Sasuke acting so weird?

"I don't know what you're getting at." I told him point blank. An attractive growl rumbled in Sasuke's chest.

"Fine, if I can't tell you what the problem is then I'll show you." he muttered under his breath.

"What?" I asked, confused, taking a step closer to him curiously.

Suddenly he grabbed my wrist in a vice like grip. I tugged against him in confusion. He wants to spar now? I thought we were taking a bath!

He pushed me back and I stumbled and tripped with a gasp. His arm wrapped around my body, stopping me from hitting the ground in a painful impact. He hovered over me and pulled both my arms above my head, holding my wrists with one of his large hands. His other hand rested on my hip.

He was so warm... his touch felt like burning electricity. My chest rose and fell with heaving breaths I didn't realize I was taking. My heart beat in a panicked frenzy. Why am I panicked? What is Sasuke doing? Why is he so close?

"S-Sasuke?" I breathed in a high-pitched tone I was unfamiliar with.

His hand slid up my waist until it rested just below my chest leaving fiery tingles in its wake. My body felt alight with strange heat and energy. Why did I feel this way?

His face neared mine. Each millimeter he moved closer seemed to take an eternity. My eyes widened and my heart picked up its pace, I worried briefly if I would go into cardiac arrest at this rate. I squirmed beneath him, my hips brushing against his which only served to increase the heated energy between us.

His nose slid along the side of my face. I bit my lip, attempting to tame the flames underneath my skin. My temperature skyrocketed and I worried I would start to sweat. I felt his breath on my ear.

"Now do you understand?" he whispered. I drew in a sharp intake of breath as his teeth grazed my ear with each word he spoke.

What was he trying to prove again?

"Sasuke..." I breathed. I didn't know why I was saying his name. It felt like his actions were drawing the call from my lips. My body tingled with...anticipation? What was I anticipating? Sasuke's body tensed up. It was as if he was holding back from something.

"Enjoy your bath." He whispered. In a gust of wind he was gone leaving me a hot mess, basically naked, alone on the ground.

What... was that...?
