Flashback
We both goofed around.
"Bella didn't love both of us. Sadly" I added.
"You know what Eddie, fuck her. We've got each other. And..."
"And?" I asked my breath coming out as pants.
"I love you Eddie"
If my heart would still be functioning, it would have beating out of my chest. I felt a shiver run down my spine when I heard him say that.
"What?" I asked unsure. Vampire can't dream or hallucinate right?
He neared me with a new determination in his eyes.
His lips brushed over mine when he said "I love you Eddie". I felt his hot breath on my lips and am overwhelming desire to taste his lips surged through me.
His eyes met mine and then he was staring at my lips his eyes lingering there.
"Jake" I panted.
"puppy" an annoying voice ruined our moment.
"hey" Jake greeted him.
"hi" he greeted him "can we leave?" the new guy asked.
"yeah. I'm wasted. " Jake said. I felt an urge to pull him back to me and my body went on autopilot. I pulled him towards me and he stumbled landing hardly on my chest with a thud. I was momentarily stunned by the sparks that were running wildly all over my body. My hand tingled from the skin to skin contact and I wish I could relish it more.
"what?" he asked looking into my eyes. His warm brown eyes cast a spell on me and I was captivated.
My momentarily frozen brain was slowly returning to its senses. Shit Now what am I going to say?
"don't I get a goodbye?" I asked smirking since I felt his heart skip a beat. Maybe, maybe I have some effect on him. It may not be as strong as Jake's effect on me but still I've got some effect on him. That thought made me extremely happy.
"goodbye" he said turning away from me again before I could pull him back, he turned towards me saying
"does my Eddie want a good bye kiss? "...
I was jumping internally with joy since he mentioned me as his. It may be a joke for him, but for me it is the best thing that I would ever hear, other than those three words coming from him.
"what if I want that? " I challenged him.
"don't play games with me Eddie?" he said in a playful tone.
I'm enjoying this a little too much. But who cares, maybe this is all I would get. I was a stupid Vampire ignoring my feelings for this handsome creature. So I deserve whatever happens to me. I have hurted him a lot, so if he leaves me for his imprint I won't blame him. He's just so perfect and is too good for me.
If all I ever get is little teasings from him, I'll be happy that at least I get those things from him.
Yeah I'm whipped.
"Edward?" he snapped bringing me back to conscious.
"maybe I like playing games with you my alpha. " I said smirking at him even when I was breaking inside thinking about how lucky his imprint is to get such an extremely amazing mate.
"I'm an alpha, playing games with me is like playing games with fire" he said in a husky tone.
"barking wolves seldom bite" I said making him growl. I swear that it was the most sexiest sound I've ever heard.
"come on alpha I dare you. " I pushed him.
"you asked for this" he said nearing me with purposeful strides.
